“Good Hotel”

Very pleasant hotel. A little away from the coast so a car is recommended although the hotel bus service was useful and taxis plentiful and not expensive.

“Utterly relaxing!”

Hotel was absolutely lovely, would recommend it to anyone. Bit far out, but only about a 10 min cab ride to the beach. Wicked views of the sunset at the sunset bar!

“Perfect holiday”

We had a fantastic holiday here. The staff are extremely helpful and thoughtful, possibly as the manager is often to be found wandering round the hotel making sure everything's running smoothly. The surroundings aren't uniformly beautiful: there are lovely mountain, sea and golf course views, and it's quite nice to see the distance between you and Playa del Ingles, but there are also a few unlovely buildings and bits of scrubby landscape. The pools are varied and excellent, with plenty of loungers to choose from, and bars to get food and drink. There are also several restaurants, all of which are excellent, even the buffet restaurant, though fairly expensive. Watching movies on the room TV is expensive; we took our own DVD player and plugged it into the TV. The spa is also excellent but quite pricey: the sauna area is mixed and bathing costumes stay on, so not a serious sauna-goer's kind of spa. There are plenty of very good massage therapists/therapies though, if that's your thing. There are computers in the lobby with free internet access. There's not a great deal to do other than eat, sleep, read etc., but we were glad we hired a car. We had one greyish/windy day (it was January) when we drove to the top of the island and then back south over the mountains. The scenery was fantastic. We also had a couple of evenings out at fishing village/Las Palmas restaurants. For a relaxing sunny break in a really good hotel, ideal.

“To be recommended”

Beautiful relaxing modern hotel in the mountains, about 5 miles inland from the sand dumes at Maspalomas. If you want a day at the beach there is a hotel "beach hut" in the town- an appartment with sunbeds, pool, lounge where you can chill out - right next to the beach. Hotel itself is excellent for couples and families. Beautiful rooms (superb huge beds, walk in shower room, granite twin basins). About 7 pools but one on hotel roof by far the best, surrounded by mountains; sheer luxury.

“Perfect for a relaxing break”

Fantastic hotel with great facilities. Rooms were modern, comfortable and clean. A choice of restaurants to eat at - out of this world buffet breakfast. Swimming pools & spa facilites were great. Only 'moan' would be the aircon in the room wasn't functioning effectively.

“A Relaxing place”

On 1st impressions the hotel looks very complicated, as there are several levels to go through to get to your destination. After the first day things got much easier. Fantactic views from any part of the hotel. Going in March was a quiet time with good weather, which we enjoyed, and having the choice of 7 pools to relax in was excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly. There were many Europeans on site, not many from the uk. The inhouse/TV entertainment could have had more English speaking channels. The Bar closing early and choice of bars seem to be limited. The Tapas bar could have had more to chose from on its' menu. Pool bar areas were slow in opening. In general, The hotel gets a 8.5/10 very good, and we would go back. The Island needs more road signs, they seem to lack direction and so it's very easy to get lost.

“What a holiday!”

Let me start by saying that myself and hubbie have very high expectations and aren't easily pleased. BUT we both loved the salobre and would definitely return. It's modern, chic, totally chav-free and the vibe is chilled. Despite the 5 star luxury, the place was NOT full of thonged poseurs and we felt very at ease. The roof top terrace is amazing and I couldn't believe all the space and free loungers - despite the hotel being full. We went down to the beach once, but to be honest were more drawn to the spa and pools at the salobre. I 100% recommend it. Golf great too - we played even though I am a complete novice! Can hire equipment, shoes etc. Would also recommend room service - very high quality and significantly cheaper than the restaurants - we didn't think much of the GOFIO buffet-type place there. A great place to unwind - take a book, an ipod, a pack of cards and enjoy the stunning views and amazingly big beds!! Oh and also - breakfasts were VERY good - lasted us all day!

“FABULOUS HOTEL!!”

Absolutely Fantastic Top Class & Highly Recommended! Weve just come back 31st March 08. Me, hubby & our 27 yr old daughter just loved it. Were fun loving, not old fogie type people but we like top class hotels, are well travelled, always stay 4/5* so we pretty much know exactly what to expect. We usually stay in Meloneras at one of the 5* Hotels (10th visit to GC). Im VERY fussy about cleanliness, rooms,views, peace/quiet. I really dont like screaming kids either so Im really pretty hard to please :-) but NO hesitation in recommending Sheraton at all. Views are absolutely stunning. Make sure you go to the top floor (11th) & see a proper vista! Breathtaking! Sea, mountains,golf course views & lots quality sun loungers which actually work ,youre not on top of each other either. Our rooms were 1st floor. Everything was 1st class inc views/peace & quiet. Balconys furnished far superior style to the usual 4/5*. Breakfast is great - lovely food & served until 1100 too yay!! Beware of cost of Evening Meals! We tried one of the restaurants quite late one eve but most of the food was already packed away so we just had a bowl of soup each. We couldnt stop laughing when we got the bill. 112 euros.Soup was nice but definitely not that good ha. We had room service twice food was good but not v hot. BTW, Taxis cost about 10 euros. We hired a golf buggy from Hotel 15 euros for the day Really cheap for such good fun. Def recommended Wouldnt even consider staying anywhere else!

“Fantastic”

The hotel has a great laid back feeling, with really friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, we had an excellent room which opened up onto one of the many pools. In summary all the facilities you require for a relaxing stay, with low key but helpful staff, top marks.

“Great Place to Relax”

Away from the hustle of the main resorts on the island. Excellent service, friendly staff, good food. You need a car if you want to do anything other than relax around the pool. Didn't try it but the spa looked very good too.
