The hotel is in a prime location and easily accessible to various Metro stations.
Our only issue was on the Friday evening a theatre production with extremely loud music continued until 2.30 am leading to a sleepless night. However, when we raised the matter with the reception staff the following day we were moved to another room immediately.

Family of five, three kids: 15,12 and 8. The hotel is just across the street from a subway station. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, one of the stops for the Tour Bus, a couple of blocks away from the Corte Ingles (Spain's biggest retail store) and . It is a nice hotel in the center of Madrid, some rooms already renovated and others in the process. Nice staff. Good breakfast buffet but a bit pricey.

I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about this hotel. We were in a lot of beautiful hotels on this trip, but this one was my favorite over even the most palacial ones. We chose it for its location in central Madrid but were rewarded in many other ways. Everything has an air of tasteful, genteel comfort in a slightly understated 19th century style, roomy without being overly spacious. Being on a small plaza, afternoon street noise through open windows could be intrusive, but we could hear almost none of it with the windows closed. Air conditioning was excellent and quiet. The bathroom is a little small, yet very comfortable in a style that smoothly melded modern Euro sleekness with older elegance. Everything we needed was right there. Staff was always quick to help and friendly.

Clean, modern, comfortable, fantastic location, easy to find, great value for money. All the little things that normally go wrong with other hotels were absolutely perfect: no problem with the internet, the room was perfect temperature, plug in sockets were within reach, the room smelt nice..AND I was able to check in early. What a pleasant, hassle free stay. I am definitely coming back and recommending the hotel too all my friends

Hotel staff helpful, speak perfect English which was most helpful with our basic Spanish! Breakfast in restaurant downstairs lovely. Hotel right next to metro although many attractions within walking distance, architecture in Madrid stunning :-) Our room faced the main road which was very busy but you couldn't hear as there was adequate sound proofing.

Known as the street that never sleeps, Gran Via is one of Madrid’s main shopping and entertainment districts and a hub of the city’s nightlife. Bordered on one end by the grand Cibeles fountain and at the other by the stately Plaza de España, the wide boulevard is lined with stunning examples of early-20th-century architecture.
