“Perfect Alhambra location”

Our goal in selecting hotel was proximity to the Alhambra. Casa Morisco provides that as well as being centrally located to most of the important sites in Granada. The staff were especially knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. My only reservation was that the room was quite small but since we were only there for two nights and everything else was splendid, it was a monor wrinkle.

“Quaint Little Boutique Hotel”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Morisca. Upon checking in, we asked the receptionist for some suggestions on local restaurants/bars and Flamenco. We took his suggestion on Flamenco, and for 25 EUR a shuttle bus picked us up right on the corner. The Flamenco was fabulous. We also took 2 of his suggestions on Restaraunts/Bars. One of them was good, the other was outstanding. Being that I booked the last available room at Casa Morisca, it was located on the first floor and faced the street. This was a little uncomfortable since the lower half of the window was at eye-level to those on the street. However, the windows had Upper & Lower blinds so that eliminated the problem (except for when we wanted to get some fresh air). Free parking is available right in front of the hotel entrance. However, to get to the hotel entrance requires driving through an extremely narrow road filled with walking tourists. If you do make the attempt, be sure to give the hotel your car plate number in advance so they can grant clearance to the road - it's not entirely accessible to the public. WI-FI is free, a mini-bar is inside the room, AC/Heat system in the room, and bathroom toiletries. Overall Casa Morisca was a very nice boutique hotel, and I would definitely recommend to friends visiting Granada.

“Great place to stay”

Location was very convenient and the hotel was very pretty small hotel. Staff was very helpful and provided good recommendations on restaurants. They directed us to a very good flamenco performance. We would stay there again.

Charming small hotel. Lovely rooms and staff. Excellent breakfast. Location in old city within walking distance of everything.

“If you go to Granada, Spain stay here”

Absolutely the place to stay to make your visit to the Alhambra more authentic. This 16th century hotel site containing only 14 rooms adds to your visit to this great attaction, Spains most visited site. They have a great manager in Wilfredo who will take care of all your needs.

“"A real find"”

It may only have a 3*** rating but we found Casa Morisca excellent. At the foot of the Albaizin area and under the shadow of the Alhambra, wIth only 16 rooms and a charming central courtyard , the hotel is quiet, yet only 10 minutes walk from the busy Plaza Nueva. There is no room service as such but a good basic breakfast is served in a converted cellar area. Guests have free access to an internet computer in the basement area and there is a sunny patio to sit out in when the weather is fine. Drinks are served in a pleasant and comfortable alcove off the central courtyard. There is no restaurant, but there are plenty of eating places nearby. Buses 31, 32 and 35 pass the bottom of the small hill leading up to the hotel entrance.

“Medieval charmer”

This is a marvelous hotel in a medieval setting. Service and breakfasts were excellent. It is close to the Alhambra and riverside cafes. The only caveat is that it is located on a steeply slopped street and would not be suitable for those with physical disabilities.

“charming hotel in great location”

This is a charming, small hotel with lots of character in great location for visitors. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms have all the basics. The breakfast is more than adequate.

“Beautiful hotel with car parking”

Very beautiful hotel in a central location - 2 minutes to the Plaza Nueva and just 15 minutes across a footbridge to the Alhambra (a very steep climb mind you!) The car parking is limited but it does exist, which is a big plus for a Granada hotel. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. I asked for a room with a bath and this was duly delivered. The superior "outside view" room provides a small balcony, from which you can just see one side of the walls of the Alhambra if you lean over and look right! My only disappointment was the Flamenco evening that was organised for us by the hotel reception; this was very nearby but the seating was terribly uncomfortable, we were lined up against the walls of a cave with no tables and given one free drink. This was €22 each and lasted an hour; the reception might be right that it is one of the better flamenco venues in the city but if that is the case, I would visit one in another city instead! Notwithstanding this, I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again myself.

“Just book - it is seriously that good”

The Casa Morsica is brilliantly located right across the Valley from the Alhambra and a short walk from the Centre of town. The staff are all excellent and extremely helpful. I recommend it without hesitation and suggest that you dig a little deeper and pay the extra to stay in Room 15 - it is up some fairly steep stairs but being able to lie in bed and see the Alhambra takes some beating. Loved every moment of our stay.
