“very impressed. will be back.”

All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and courteous. The room was very modern and clean. The only complaint I have is that it did not have a desk for my laptop and for writing. It only had a very small round top table. The location of hotel is very good (10 minute walk to center of town). Ask hotel staff to recommend good local restaurant and flamingo dinner/dance.

“Clean, modern, but not to everyone's taste.”

Very difficult to find the hotel and parking - parking is signposted most of the way, and then you have to turn up what looks like a deadend street to find it. Inside - the two building (old and new parts) make it initially confusing to navigate from the new part (where we stayed) and reception - we did get lost a few times. The hotel room was clean - but modern and clinical in feel. The glass walls meant that privacy was at a minimum although curtains can drawn. We only used the restaurant once - for breakfast - the music was non-descript and more suited to a chillout room in a nightclub. Having said all that, the staff were very helpful, but the hotel was not to our taste.

“Stunning Palace renovation with all the modern touches”

the hotel was lovely. A few notes: there is no public access to the hotel. The gates to the palace are locked & you have to be buzzed in at all times. Awkward if you like to go in&out. One major diaster averted & well handled: we always travel with a stuffed elephant who we have had for almost 30 years. After having been gone all day, we came back to the room & he was gone! we ripped apart luggage & looked under the bed (not as yucky as it could have been), closet & corner. Gone. We told the evening shift & suggested that he might have been scooped up when the sheets were changed. they swore they'd check with housekeeping. We had a very expensive (but delicious) & teary dinner at the hotel. when we asked the night shift, they knew nothing about our problem but they got on the case! Made calls & a few hours later, they found him (at the laundry). he was returned safe & sound the next moring before we checked out.

“Interesting hotel, good location.”

The hotel was generally very good. The staff at reception were polite and extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the modern part of the hotel were the bathroom and seperate toilet were enclosed by heavily frosted glass which gave less privacy than facilities in conventional hotel rooms. We didn't eat in the restaurant - it was usually quiet with little atmosphere. The cocktail bar was ok, but their knowledge of cocktail ingredients was limited and it usually closed before midnight.

“D&N Granada Trip”

The hotel is located in the heart of the shoppng area , a ten minute walk to the main city centre, parking is difficult however upon arrival at the hotel the concierge parked the car for us for a fee of 20 euros a day . The hotel was a welcome sight after a long drive, i would not like to navigate the city without sat nav ! First impressions were very good , our room was not located in the ornate main building but in the modern building next door , the room was not chilled upon arrival and we found the aircon was not working. An engineer was called to deal with the problem, and upon return to our room some hrs later we found it was still not working, the mini bar drinks were warm and we asked to change rooms. Check out took over 1/2 hr to deliver our bags and car back to reception. In summary not a 5 * hotel from a service perspective in my opinion but has or had the potential. if you like Hip Hotels in a cool city you will like it but the service is not 5* .

“A very different experience”

This hotel is so discreet that you need to know what it looks like in order to find it. There are no signs, just a couple of gates that open when you ring the bell. Once inside it is an oasis of tranquillity, with discreet fountains and water that provide a foretaste of the Alhambra. Our room was in the new block, above the restaurant. It was bright in the day time, comfortable and very modern. As with most designer hotels, design take precedence over function. It was almost impossible to read at night. The shower and bath were in a clear glass walled room with a curtain on the outside - privacy therefore required fore-thought. But it was very elegant and memorable. We had only one meal at the restaurant - it was small, nice and very expensive. We decided to take breakfast in a nearby cafe. The hotel has parking but it is almost impossible to find - park nearby on the street and get the hotel to park your car. This is a pretty cool place to stay.

“Superb rooms”

Really interesting old building renovated to be very trendy and modern with new rooms in adjoining modern building. Fantastic rooms and wonderful spa area. Good central location. Service friendly but too young, trendy and lack professionalism.

“Noisy Wing”

Beware the new wing where the noise in the early hours of the morning can be a nuisance. The front desk moved us for the second night into the quieter old wing. The concierge were very good on their recommendations for restaurants. Apart from the noise a delightful stay.
