Very good hotel in Granada with WOW factor views

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Excellent hotel and location for visiting the Alhambra palace and city. You do not need a car in fact parking at the hotel is an issue. I arrived in Granada by train and was afforded a beautiful vista of the countryside throughout the journey. A taxi to the hotel was just a 10 mins drive from the station. The views from the hotel drinks/refreshments terrace over the city are superb day and night and the hotel is excellent. The rooms are very clean and offer a spectacular view if you book one with a city view. Bathrooms excellent with Moorish style full tiles and all modern facilities. Take a city tour (day or night) on one of the open buses "hope on hope off" at any stop. Tour takes 11/2 hrs if you stay on and costs 8 Euro. The bus stops at regular "hope on hope off" locations one of which is only two minutes away from the hotel. You can walk down into the city in about 10-15 mins its down hill all the way so perhaps a taxi back :)

Beautiful and clean

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Very pretty Arab touch, nice view, easy to grab a cab, very close to the Alhambra (Granada's main attraction).
Cons: Some chandelier bulbs on hallways not on, some carpets in the stairs can be replaced, the elevator can be fixed to jump a lot less when it stops.
Location: Location is ok to go to the Alhambra and downtown. You definitly need cab at night as the streets get a tad lonely and dark.
We had room 407 which has its own large terrace.. I mean LARGE terrace. The room was comfortable and the view was awesome.

Great Location

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Style and location
Cons: Seats on the balcony
Location: Very close to the Alhambra and fantastic views over the city. Walking distance to the old part of the city but a steep uphill climb back to the hotel
Hotel design based on the Alhambra so ideal for a visit and easy walking distance.

Well worth the money for the superb setting and opulent building. Really close to the Alhambra ( a must see ) and a short ,steep walk to the city. Would recommend a drink on the terrace , day or night the views across the city and to the Sierra Nevada are magnificent.

Perfect location in Granada! Amazing view!

Within easy walking distance to one of the main attractions...Alhambra Palace. The ambiance and staff made it a very enjoyable stay as well as the beautiful decor. The food was well above par with excellent service. I would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Granada.

Great location and exceptional common areas

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: An exceptionally elegant and historic site!!
Cons: Softer bed, better instructions to avoid Controlled Zones!
Location: Exceptional location if you're into walking tours of near by areas. Easy to walk to all the historic areas.
Absolutely spectacular facility - common areas and hallways left you feeling like a King! All the common areas were as beautiful as any of the palaces we toured! The restaurant was elegant and we have many pictures to prove it! The room was ok size wise and was tiled to match the elegance of the rest of the Palace. Bath was a little small but beautiful. Only negative was the bed was too hard for our liking. Beautiful view of Granada from our room and very convenient to walk to the historic areas of Granada and to the Alhambra nearly next door. If you're driving, watch for the Controlled Zones downtown - our instructions, local signage and the Garmin GPS took us straight through it. Supposed to be a big fine - probably on the way to us as we speak. Avoid driving through Granada - go around the city center which is easy to do if you know to avoid!

Good location for key sights. Panoramic views.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: As above
Cons: Wider Knowledge of local area and region by thestaff would have been welcomed. We would have organised our sightseeing differently with better advice
Location: Granada sights
Enjoyed our stay. Location was excellent for visiting the Alhambra and the city. Hotel was pleasant. Rooms were reasonable size and clean. Breakfast was more than adequate. Views from bar were excellant and bar food very reasonable. Free parking was a bonus.

Beautiful Hotel, too far from the city.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has great service with beautiful views of the city. It is steps away from the Alhambra but a long up hill hike from downtown, the local bus will take you there for €1.2
