Central location, close to all sites and actionPosted May 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very good no frills hotel, has all you require for short breaks. Good breakfast, very reasonable rates and helpful English speaking staff. Why pay more! No real downsides except close to the main drag that is extremely busy and noisy but not too intrusive as double glazing keeps most of it out.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would appreciate softer beds. Glad we had a quiet room.

Would stay here againPosted Jan 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great place, only downside was cost of parking, so drop your car before you get here. So close to the sites and buses, highly recommend!

Great locationPosted Sep 25, 2012
The hotel is reasonably clean and the rooms are small and very basic, but clean and comfortable. The location is central and just great: about 10 minutes to the Alhambra bookstore (where one purchases tickets) and a few minutes more to the gates, and 3-5 minutes from the cathedral etc. The only hiccup was that the shower in my room was broken, and they were not able to fix it until the next day. Otherwise a good choice for travelers who don't want to spend too much money on hotels.

You get what you pay forPosted Jun 1, 2012
The room was adequate and clean, but those are the only positive things I have to say about the hotel. Wi-Fi service crashed for an entire day, and when I asked staff for an estimated time of repair, the clerk snapped at me. Overall, the staff were very unprofessional, and for the most part, treated me very rudely. I got the feeling they do not like to deal with foreign clients. Also, air conditioning broke down in the midst of a heat wave. Would not recommend.

internet too slowPosted Dec 18, 2011 on Hotels.com
this hotel was hosting a conference when i visited. So I guess too many people were accessing internet. But I guess that is not a valid excuse ... they should not host conferences of size they cannot handle

Good choice for flashpackersPosted Oct 11, 2011
Location is great, right outside the south entrance of Gran Via metro station. Some pointers from me to help others find it, as things can appear chaotic when you exit. The hotel is on the 7/8th floor in the building adjoining the McDonald's. That building houses two other hotels, so you've got to take the lift up to the reception. You can easily walk to Sol metro station and Plaza Mayor. We loved that there's an El Corte Ingles supermarket very nearby to get cheap bottled water and fruits. One thing though is that there are hookers on the street at all hours (more noticeable at night when there's less people), so don't stay here this bothers you. I found it quite surprising as there's a police station nearby too - I guess they found a reason to tolerate this. Other than that, the room we had was clean and comfortable, as expected for a basic 3* star hotel. There's free wi-fi at the reception which is great.
