Charming hotel in town center

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Room design Fabula restaurant
Cons: gym needs improvement
Location: right in the heart of the town....
Lovely charming hotel. Good location to be if you want to be int he center of Granada town. Room was very well designed and had a place for everything. Bathroom had proper new fittings. Bathroom has a window into the room so keep this in mind if you are sharing room with a friend, not a lover! Although there is a shower which is independent. Gym is very old and needs to be updated. The Michelin start restaurant, Fabula was absolutely delightful with imaginative and wonderful food. My most memorable meal in Spain....kudos to the talented chef. Hotel can use a bit more of staff at front desk especially a porter for people carrying large suitcases! wonderful stay and i would recommend it to people looking for a bit of sophistication and quiet

Quiet, comfortable hotel.

Pros: Spacious standard room. Enjoyed relaxing in spa's water area - pool, jets, jacuzzi and sauna - after day's sightseeing. Lots of breakfast choices.
Cons: Layout of bathroom area didn't allow much privacy. No tissues or shower cap provided - unusual for a 4* hotel.
Location: Easy walk to cathedral area and plenty of restaurant choices not far away. Airport bus and Granada sightseeing bus stop less than 5 mins walk away.
Good location for central Granada, with a restful ambience. Soothing fountain plays in the central atrium and quiet lounge and peaceful garden lead off it. Our standard room was spacious but had only skylights, not full windows, so no view. Restaurant was closed while we were there, except for breakfast, which was good but pricey.

Very nice and cozy hotel with the most luxurious showers I've seen in spain. Surprisingly soft mattress and a decent medium sized room.

Outstanding decor, location & service. People here went out of their way to be of assistance & answer all our questions. Lounge area and outdoor restaurant was second to none. We would stay here again without a second thought.

Ideal characterful hotel

Beautiful building and luxuriously appointed room. Great location with everywhere in Granada accessible on foot. Our room beautiful and comfortable but lacked a safe deposit box for some reason. Staff functional and friendly when asked but not always visible and so you needed to go out of your way to get advise. Wifi not working during our stay which was limiting. Spa, gym and pool were lovely and a hidden bonus. Didn't dine in restaurant so can't comment. Would certainly return.
