Nice anniversary & close to the square!!

Posted Mar 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
My wife and I recently traveled to Granbury Gardens for our first experience in a bed & breakfast. We were very pleased. The breakfasts were outstanding-from eggs in a cloud, to poached pears, and sorbet to close it out. The owners catered to our needs such as preparing a fire for us outdoors. The locations was great, we were able to walk to the square within 5 minutes. You will be in for a pleasant experience above and beyond hotel service! Remember though that this bed and breakfast is in a home that others live in and in a historical home from many years ago. Some noise does come with those things. All around, a nice weekend!

Cozy, quiet B&B

The innkeepers are super friendly and eager to accommodate your needs. The gourmet breakfast was wonderfully delicious. Although the inn is located in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood is an easy walk to the quaint town square with lots of shops and resturants.

Pleasant getaway

This is a well appointed B&B originally built in the early 1900's. The owners were very friendly and keep the property in great historical condition. The breakfast was first rate.

"A Wave of Nostalgia"

Posted May 25, 2011
The Doyle House is a beautiful 1911 home. It brought back many memories of our childhood including the beautiful (but somewhat noisy) hardwood floor and the nostalgic furnishings. We felt like we had stepped back into time. Stan and Kay were so warm and friendly that we felt like they were some old friends; we quickly felt at home. The house is about 4 blocks from the downtown square which made a very pleasant walk for us. We spent our mornings and evenings sitting on the front porch rocking and watching the neighbors and neighborhood. The gourmet breakfast that Kay and Stan provided was very good. We were looking for a serene place to spend our 33rd Anniversary and this place was perfect!
