the best stay ever

Pros: very clean
Cons: nothing
Location: easy to find
Very clean ,I loved the fact that I could work out at the very new YMCA next door for free .Breakfast was all any one could wont and fresh .Thanks

It was ok, staff was friendly, breakfast was good. Air was out in lobby, pool was nasty & green, ice machine didn't work. Room was clean.

No pool access at all!

Pros: The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Having a pool that worked!
Location: The beach would have been nice if there wasn't tons of dog poop on it. The hood county jail museum was wonderful to see!
After looking at the numerous hotels in the area, I chose this one. Boy what a mistake, i can overlook the outdated rooms and the fact there is no elevator. But no pool access at all due to it not working and i have two small children who were looking forward to the pool is such a disappointing vacation for them. Hotel management could have notified us ahead of time or done something different. I won't stay there again. They hotel staff was very pleasant, that was the only plus to our stay.

Good value

Pros: Breakfast and dog friendly. Also, the staff is very, very nice.
Cons: Odd smell near stairs
Location: Convenient to lake and restaurants.
Although this is a value hotel, the staff is helpful and welcoming. The warm cookies are a treat and the hot breakfast is a nice plus.

First impression wasn't good. Weeds were growing and that was the landscaping. I walked in the lobby and there were box fans on because they weren't allowed to turn on the ac. The rooms were dirty and smelled really bad. We ended up changing hotels.

Horrible experience absolutely horrible

I was kissing my wife shortly after arriving in the room, housekeeping walked in on us and laughed, if thats not bad it happened again. I was mad. Room was dirty and I made manager clean. Breakfast we were there in time but nothing was left, not even juice or coffee. Upon leaving we told the front desk person about the experience and she said stay somewhere else next time! We will. We took photos of the room and notified Quality Inn/ Choice hotels who were supposed to get back with me in 72 hours. Nothing! We will never pick choice again.

Okay for a night

It was fine for the price to spend one night. As non smokers though I had a hard time with the strong smell of smoke in the hotel.

Room not cleaned prior to or during our stay

Bathroom was not cleaned between guests -- there were pub.ic hairs and fingernail clippings on the floor. Hot water was broken for 1.5 days of a 2 day stay. Room was not cleaned up after first day of visit. Mgmt contacted but owner did not return our calls as he promised.
