Great Hotel Experience, close to Grand Canyon

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: We liked the close proximity to the Grand Canyon. The location is a short easy drive into the Canyon Park.
Cons: The price we paid was a little high for a Best Western. Better pricing or more discount offerings could be offered.
Location: We specifically came to visit South Rim of Grand Canyon. There are all kind of tours and sight seeing adventures.
We loved our stay here! Great Hotel experience from start to finish. Check in and check out is easy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was fabulous! It was nicely decorated, well furbished and very clean! We slept well and felt right at home. We definitely would recommend this hotel and stay here again. The price was well worth it!

Good hotel. Love the bowling alley. Sit-down breakfast was very poor service and quality and took forever. Hot tub not working which was disappointing.

Decent option among slim pickins.

This hotel is fine, a little worn and dated, but clean and comfortable. They have a buffet breakfast that is quite nice (lots of fruit and hot options, and really good piping hot coffee). It used to be included in the room rate, but now its extra. Even though its quite expensive ($12 for adults), its the best option in town. We had dinner in the causal restaurant in the hotel one night, and it wasn't very good. But I didn't find any good food options in Tusayan, so I wouldn't say don't go, just lower your expectations. They have a bowling alley and a arcade which my kids loved.

Expensive, but worth it in courtesy & location

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: Every single staff member - from the buffet host to the room cleaners to the front desk, were extremely courteous, thanking us at every opportunity.
Cons: The food in the basement could be improved, but was equalled by the fun of blowing onsite and having games for the kids. Stay away from the pizza.
Location: The Canyon... the Canyon. That's about it. Don't expect lots of night life in Grand Canyon City since there isn't any, especially for families.
The rooms, particularly the updated rooms, are large and very comfortable. There's plenty of room in a two-queen room for a family of three or four, with a nice big TV, tub/shower, vanity area, and even a fridge. The Keurig was a nice touch for coffee in the AM.

Convenient for tour pick-up for Grand Canyon tour.

Great staff! We stayed one night & left for our 12 hour tour the next day. Staff let us park our vehicle in their lot for the day even though we already checked out. Service was fantastic!

Great spot close to the park

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Big beds
Cons: Need more parking; the check-instaff was also not helpful around the morning buffet
Location: Decent casual steakhouses nearby.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, brunch was a good value, and the location. Was an easygoing drive into the Park. Parking was a challenge, however.
