Hotel nahe am Grand Canyon

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Das Hotel liegt sehr nah am Grand Canyon. Das ist eigentlich schon alles was man dazu sagen sollte ... . Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind nicht schlecht, bloß für die erbrachte Leistung völlig überteuert. Dafür ist man in 15 Minuten am Grand Canyon ...

Too expensive for what we received.

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Although the food was overpriced and not very good, the service we received from the wait staff was excellent.
Cons: Better pricing and updated, non-smelling rooms. Also, honesty because we felt they deceivingly attempted to pass those rooms off as non-smoking rooms
Location: The proximity to the Grand Canyon was why we endured the horrible rooms and we found a good restaurant to eat at nearby
We reserved and paid for 2 non-smoking rooms. When we arrived and checked in, our rooms smelled like they had just been fumigated. It was late and we were hungry, so we ate at the buffet that the hotel offered, which was way overpriced and very disappointing. After we returned to our rooms and the bug spray smell wore off, we smelled the distinct smell of cigarette smoke. Our rooms smelled like a casino...no exaggeration. I suspect the hotel was attempting to mask the cigarette smoke smell with the bug spray. We complained the following morning and they changed our rooms and upgraded us to 2 suites which were much better, but we still felt that we deserved more for having paid so much and not receiving what we paid for to begin with.

For the amount of money paid for a room to stay here, you're better off staying elsewhere and driving in to the canyon.

Nice location

We liked the location, and the room, however the mattress was too firm for us and the restaurant was too pricy. Otherwise, it's walking distance to local restaurants and a short drive into the park.

It was a good stay, but we think the price is a little bit too high!

Pros: Close to the Rim entrance.
The rooms are outdated and there is mould in the bath room.

Convenient location but unhappy staff

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Big room.
Cons: Food and cheery staff who likes their jobs.
I thought the place would be nicer and in a more prominent location. The hotel itself was fine but the staff seemed unhappy and the food very blah.

Nice hotel near Grand Canyon

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Its location.
Location: Right next to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and the town has plenty of things to do (jeep tours, IMAX theater, etc.).
The best thing about the hotel was its location, although maps and directions were a little misleading; it's not IN the Grand Canyon, it's in Tusayan, which is right outside of the South Entrance to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. The prices in the town are (understandably) high, which includes this resort, but it was a decent place to stay.
