Room was not ready at Check-in

Pros: Hotel Room is always nice
Cons: Adhere to their own Check In policies.
Location: Close to NAU. But not close enough to walk.
I went to check into my room at 4:30 and my room was still not ready. They put me in a queen suite even though I paid for a king. I was told because I prepaid this through expedia, they couldn't offer me a discount. So I guess it's my bad for using Expedia. After we settled into our queen suite, I felt obligated to contact the supervisor because I was so disappointed .... At 5:45pm they finally had a King suite available for me to switch too.

On busy weekends when prior guests do not check-out in time, our team works diligently to get the rooms cleaned and ready for new check-ins. Disappointing stay

Pros: The cookies.
Cons: Communication at the front desk - our issues never seemed to be communicated to the next shift or management.
Location: Grand Canyon - best thing about the stay.
I'll start by saying the staff was nice. Beyond that, however the stay was disappointing. They didn't have our reservation, so thank goodness I had our confirmation. This could be 3rd party issue, but we booked all our travel through the site and this was the only hotel we had a problem at. The air conditioning was broken and while they comped breakfast and sent a fan, it was never fixed and we only got our room changed - the second night - after multiple calls to the front desk, who always seemed surprised. Our first night was uncomfortable warm, resulting in little sleep for anyone. Our second morning began with a fire alarm. No one answered @ desk, no direction was given, so we exited. Only to find out some toast had been burned & it was business as usual for the staff. The wifi was difficult to stay connected to and the hot tub had leaves and debris. This was our "high end" stay on our trip, but it was by far the most disappointing. The cookies are really good, though.

ACCOLADES TO THE STAFF

Pros: The hotel was in perfect location for restaurants and a base to take day trips.
The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Flagstaff was wonderful. The attractive lobby had a inviting lounge,very friendly bartenders(Dave and Lorn). The front desk personnel greeted us warmly and ready to help in anyway. Warm chocolate chip cookies were given to us at check in. The room was clean,bed was comfortable made our 4 day stay in Flagstaff wanted us to come back. Sakura the Japanese restaurant just off the lobby entrance was fabulous and it was a positive experience.

Generally, a good value for good quality. The only negative was that over a 3 day stay, the bathroom only had tepid water never hot.

nice hotel in mountain setting.

Pros: they setting and the friendly staff.
Cons: friendlier resturant staff.
Location: the setting is great,in a mountain area at almost 7 thousand feet. in a college town but it was quiet. the grand caynon was only an hour away.
the facilities were very nice. The immediate staff were very friendly and accomodating,but the attached resturant staff appeared stressed and the food took 30 mins,this was the only negative part of the stay.overall it was a very pleasant atmosphere much better than i was expecting.
