Old Hotel- Parking arrangement not satisfactory.Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: A historical sight.
Cons: A good description of the facility and it's amenities for the price, needs to be clear.
26 steps to 2nd floor required- had phone call stating this would be the case. The rooms are small and were not satisfactory to our needs. WE FOUND ANOTHER HOTEL IN TOWN! The parking is behind the hotel-not as visible as would like.

Felt like the Old West.Posted Jul 17, 2014
I stayed with two 17-year old boys in the loft room. It was a little tight, but perfect. They loved their private loft. The staff was friendly and good. Right in the middle of town but totally silent. Clean and comfortable lobby. Very authentic - I almost expected to see the stagecoach parked out front. I would stay here again.

Great locationPosted Jul 7, 2014
Lovely historic hotel in the centre of town. Great for 2 or 3 nights but some of the bedrooms are a bit small for a longer stay. Amy the owner is very welcoming.

This place was really creepyPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Location is good as far as being right downtown. However, it was very noisy all night as there is a bar nearby.
Cons: Needs much more renovating
Location: The tap room micro brewery across the street has some good and interesting beers--Try the coconut beer!
We had hoped to avoid the standard motel chains in Williams and try something different. It did not work out so well. The staff at the front desk were extremely nice so I cannot say anything but good things about their hospitality. However, the rooms are really in poor condition. We booked two rooms and neither of them had a window! Each room had a small opening into an interior air shaft, and this opening was mostly filled with an old, noisy window air conditioning unit. Because there was no other ventilation, we had to run this LOUD old unit all night to be comfortable. The rooms have no carpet, just old wood slats that have not been sanded or finished. The sink is outside the bathroom and is really funky and cheap. The "closet" is a white metal tube screwed to the wall. The toilet/shower compartment is very dank and there is no separate switch for the fan so all trips to the bathroom day or night necessitate the turning on of a very LOUD exhaust fan. (because there are no windows the room is DARK) I think the owners are trying their best but the place really needs more renovations as it just goes too far beyond "quaint". I cannot recommend this place.

Exactly what I was looking forPosted Jul 3, 2014
Quirky little hotel in a very cute town. Greeted outside by a real life cowboy who told us it was te oldest hotel in AZ and that it was most likely haunted. The lady at reception showed us the coffee, internet and late night door access and then gave us a choice of 3 rooms. We chose the Missouri room which had some very odd decorations including a teddy bear, button hook and a painting of a baby that stared at us while we slept. Clean, comfortable, safe. Great trip to Williams!!

Lots of character & excellent locationPosted Jul 1, 2014
If you're looking for a place to stay that is right in the middle of the action on Route 66 then this is your place. This hotel is old. .. like 1890's old but there in lies it's charm. With any older place, there are a few sacrifices. The less expensive rooms have to share a shower and toilet with other guests... But everyone has their own sink and mirror in their rooms. There is no air conditioner in the rooms but we didn't really need one. It was pretty cool in the evenings, even at the end of June, so we were able to get by with the overhead fan and window fan. There were no t.v.s in the rooms so it's handy to bring a tablet or ipad for movies. Wifi is provided. Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience.

Grand canyon adventurePosted Jun 20, 2014
Cons: A new comforter on the main bed and a new matress.
We were excited about going to the Grand Canyon the next day and we stayed at the Grand Canyon hotel the evening before. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and imformative of activities happening in the area including the shootout put on by the locals. The room itself had two twin beds in a loft arra and a full bed in the main room. The room was quaint and had a small tv. We were not in the room much between dinner, dessert, and shopping; we were there to sleep and recoup. If you are going there to lounge in the room and be a hangout I would suggest a different hotel due to the tight quarters. Besides the small room we were happy to be there. The town itself has many neat shops from native to tourist shops. Again the ladies working at the front desk were always around to say hi and greet us with a smile!

Overnight near the Grand CanyonPosted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: A great location in Williams. Nicely kept to it's historic era. Good prices. Helpful and courteous staff.
Location: Center of town on Route 66 near shops and restaurants.
The hotel is very quaint. The historic value is well maintained to it's time period. The wind blew hard and it howled outside the window all night. The bed was very uncomfortable. This could truly be updated without losing the historic ambiance. Consequently, it was a very fitful sleep at best.
