We had an enojoyable stay. The hotel has a quaint and historic atmosphere which made for a comfotable and unique experience at an historic Route 66 hotel.

Youth hostel quaint

Nice folks but horrible room with window onto 4x10 "atrium": no direct light. Remarkably noisy, small rooms, no breakfast. Want quaint? This may be good. Want comfort? Get it elsewhere.

You cannot check in until 3 PM!

Pros: The staff is very friendly and the housekeepers are excellent. Our rooms were spotless.
Cons: The problem with registration noted above.
Location: Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon and Grand Canyon. Do try to avoid some of the overpriced tourist trap restaurants nearby.
The staff at Registration is very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and pleasantly decorated. We were, however, not pleased at not being able to check in after having arrived at 12 noon. We only wanted to leave our baggage; however, there was NOBODY available at the front desk. The front door was locked, and there was no note telling guests to return at 3 p.m. for check-in. We found out by inquiring at neighboring businesses. After having our car broken into at our previous hotel, we were concerned about leaving our stuff in a parked car while we walked around. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The interior of the hotel is beautiful. You have to share a bathroom with quite a few other guests, but the bathrooms were clean. The Wifi worked well.

Basic without the basics

Staff was nice but really is a very old hotel. Room had no window to open, no TV, funky decor and not a clean room.

El major hotel de Williams

Posted Apr 8, 2015

Less than I thought

Location: Location is very good.
Not handicap accessible which needs to be disclosed in ad. The time for check in ( 3 p.m. ) is not cool. If the desk can not be made at least all day the owner needs to sale to someone who can do so. The only good thing I have to say is the be was comfortable, not the pillows, just the bed.

Pros: The staff. The themed rooms.
Cons: Really not anything, it was a great experience!
Location: Downtown, by all the shops and restaurants. Take the train to the Grand Canyon.
The first person you meet is the owner/operator, one of the friendliest person I have ever met. She allowed us to choose our own theme room. We went upstairs, the available rooms were open to view and go into. She then gave us a great tour of the rest of the hotel. The experience was perfect! It fit in so well with our train ride to the Grand Canyon. We stayed in the WW1 room! Which had her families personal memorabilia from that time. The room was very clean and comfortable. Don't expect a t.v. The WiFi connection was teterribly slow, but who cares! This hotel fit the history of the community. I highly recommend the experience to any couple or oerson traveling through the area.
