Nice hotel close to the Grand CanyonPosted Apr 23, 2015
Nice quaint hotel with very few amenities. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. They gave you a choice of rooms that you could look at. Only downside is no elevator, and all the rooms are on the second floor. Very pleasant stay in a nice small town. Would stay there again.

Spent two nights while visiting the Grand Canyon.Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: The staff, the opportunity to choose our room from the lists of rooms available when we arrived. Each room is unique.
Cons: I know the beauty is how old this building is but it would be nice to have more padding in the walls so you do not have to hear the next door guests.
Location: It is a great location because there are restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques all at walking distance.
We spent two nights here while visiting the Grand Canyon. The first night you could heard the gusty wind but my daughter and I stayed very warm in ours beds. The room was very clean, friendly staff and we made the reservation to share a bathroom.

The nicest people and best stay I have, by far!Posted Apr 21, 2015
We came to this Hotel because my fiancée thought it was charming, very historic, I was thinking OK I'll go with it. Turns out the owner and staff are the best, came to stay here to show my fiancée the Grand Canyon for the first time and the plan was to do some hiking but had my reservations on doing an in and out hike in one day, the owner Amy said we could do it in the shape we were in which put my mind at ease, we did it and it was great, thank you Amy. It is a very fun hotel I don't look for normally but I will be back. They have put a lot of work into the hotel. I would say it is worth coming to look at it as a stop just to say Hi! We loved it Amy and thank you very much for everything!

Youth hostel quaintPosted Apr 13, 2015
Nice folks but horrible room with window onto 4x10 "atrium": no direct light. Remarkably noisy, small rooms, no breakfast. Want quaint? This may be good. Want comfort? Get it elsewhere.

You cannot check in until 3 PM!Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: The staff is very friendly and the housekeepers are excellent. Our rooms were spotless.
Cons: The problem with registration noted above.
Location: Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon and Grand Canyon. Do try to avoid some of the overpriced tourist trap restaurants nearby.
The staff at Registration is very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and pleasantly decorated. We were, however, not pleased at not being able to check in after having arrived at 12 noon. We only wanted to leave our baggage; however, there was NOBODY available at the front desk. The front door was locked, and there was no note telling guests to return at 3 p.m. for check-in. We found out by inquiring at neighboring businesses. After having our car broken into at our previous hotel, we were concerned about leaving our stuff in a parked car while we walked around. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The interior of the hotel is beautiful. You have to share a bathroom with quite a few other guests, but the bathrooms were clean. The Wifi worked well.

Basic without the basicsPosted Apr 11, 2015
Staff was nice but really is a very old hotel. Room had no window to open, no TV, funky decor and not a clean room.
