Totally nonfunctional

Posted Aug 24, 2014
The staff was cold and had no customer service skills. The lights didn't work, but that was probably a good thing. It was harder to see how dirty the room and bathroom were. The towels were dirty andthreadbare. The curtains didn't close, we had to use chairs to hold them in place. Then the shower faucets were broken, the tub didn't drain, and even when we asked for service they never came. It was noisy, smelled funky, and is a total ripoff. We left in disgust ..horrible!

Best option for Death Valley

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Situated in Death Valley, it's the best option for a hotel stay
Cons: Needs renovating and a staff eductaion programme
Location: Ideal for anyone wanting to explore Death Valley
As the only hotel of any quality in the area there is little choice, and it shows - the hotel is adequate - it has a decent pool and the rooms are reasonable. However, the hotel is badly in need of renovation and there is a strange smell in the corridors - nothing serious but just odd. The hotel staff were disinterested at bestm but if you are looking for a short stay in Death Valley it's your best option. The local restaurants are OK and provide a cheaper alternative to the hotel facility. All in all, I was disappointed with this hotel, but it did provide us with somewhere clean and comfortable to stay the night.

Lots of cute personality

Posted Aug 19, 2014
We stayed in the annex. It is quite small especially the shower. We were pleased with it. The location is nice, and it met our needs. However, while in the National Park area, do not eat at the Big E Steakhouse. We are easy to please, but that may have been the worse meal out ever. We do not recommend the chicken for sure. Pick another place. As far as the hotel, it is cute and clean.

Disappointed

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Cons: A whole new bathroom for this price
Family vacation including a trip to the Grand Canyon so we wanted to stay close in case we couldn't get through it in one day. Well, it only took a few hours to see so we wasted our money on this overpriced ($161) room that had absolutely no water pressure in the shower and the shower head was extremely low and the air conditioning was not cool at all.

Yosemite

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: Rooms a little tired, aircon and extractor fans in bathrooms very noisy by modern standards. Wifi is chargeable and by all accounts poor quality.
Location: Visiting Yosemite. sight seeing, hiking, ridinfg etc
Good place to stay to visit Yosemite, if you're not a camper. 30-40 mins away by car. All the facilities are there, if a little pricy for food (although it's similar prices to elsewhere).

We arrived very late at this hotel and were pleased to find our room keys attached to the restaurant door with a note welcoming us.

Good for the money

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: It is close to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but half the price of anything else we found.
Cons: Toilet paper was SUPER cheap paper. There was only one bath towel and we had four staying in the room; not really a problem, we just got more.
Location: 25 miles to the Grand Canyon...nuf said!
We knew that it wouldn't be a fancy Hotel, but it was comfortable and it was half the cost of anything else we found. We had no problems with our room.

Pros: Recently updated, very clean, lodging reasonably priced for the area
Cons: Basic cable TV only, restaurant prices quite high with limited hours of operation, seating on the porch
Location: Grand Canyon National Park
Arrived for a 3-day stay outside the Grand Canyon National Park in Valle, AZ. (The hotel address of Williams, AZ is 30 miles away). Registration, lounge and restaurant on one side of the highway and lodging on the other side. Friendly service, nice facilities, excellent housekeeping. For two adults, room space small but sufficient
