BUSY Hotel

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Hotel check in was super busy. 3 front desk people working and the wait was at least 30 minutes. The front desk made me use my laptop to print out the Expedia email so "they could get paid" Very odd. I paid for the trip months ago. They had the reservation, why did I have to go to the trouble of showing them my confirmation? No other hotel required this. The pool was packed with kids and older people. Hot tub was packed with loud adults and unruly children. ( I am a mom of 4- like kids- this hotel was not pleasant) Even my children ages 15, 14, 14 (friend), 13, 11 did not like the atmosphere. Granted, with the right people, it could have been a nice time. This day was not! The town of Williams was nice. We enjoyed walking around at night. The Mexican restaurant on the corner was delicious and the staff was so friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend it!

Convenient when riding the train

Posted Jul 13, 2015
The hotel staff are very accomodating and helpful. The checkin process went well despite what I believe was poor use of theirhuman resources. The woman checking me in was friendly and kind and this despite the fact that she not only was caring for me at the desk but also having to answer the phone. The management should have someone taking the calls so the front desk folks dont split their attention grom customers standing right in front of them. Still she kept a smile and was congenial...gold star for her for sure.

Cute hotel in a tiny town full of nostalgia

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Williams is about the size of a postage stamp. It's a great home base if you are going to the Grand Canyon. The hotel is cute and has a small gym and pool and some on site restaurants. It also has a train that will take you to the canyon. We opted not to do it because it takes a lot longer than driving direct. Overall...the town Is super cute and has some great americana and little shops and restaurants.

Ensure you have a print out of the confirmation at check-in. You will need to provide an electronic of physical copy of the confirmation email to check in. Parking can be a pain, a big lot.

Schönel Hotel

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Die Empfangshalle/Rezeption
Cons: Das Frühstücksbuffett ausschildern.
Location: Williams; Grand Canyon

Hotel in the heart of old town Williams, AZ.

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Family had a great time exploring the town and the Grand Canyon was close by. Wonderful experience! The food at the hotel was not worth what we had to pay. I would recommend the hotel stay but eat at the food establishments in town, of which there are many.

Pros: The cafe
Cons: front desk training
Location: there are lots of independent motels nearby
The hotel expected me to show proof that I had paid Expedia. The hotel was grossly overpriced.
