Nice hotel staff could use Training

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Wonderful accommodations more than what we expected. However, at check in the woman behind the counter was so busy berating one of the guests (a foreign visitor whose money spends just the same) failed to see me as the lineup began & that's when I became invisible! 2 other couples were taken before she saw me!! Needless to say I did not let it ruin my stay. If one wonders why folks from other countries view Americans as rude--this employee is a Prime example!

Family Vacation

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Very nice rooms, nice staff, and close to everything you could need
Cons: Little high on the price but it is what you would expect right near a big National Park
Location: Good food choices and very close to the park entrance.
Great place to stay. Very nice newer hotel right outside the park.

Hotel outside GC National Park

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Like how coffee was available all day in the lobby. Was in walking distance from food and convenience stores.
Cons: This hotel does not have a work out room. We were told one was planned for the future.
Location: The food options in Tusayan are limited. We ate at We Cook Pizza and Pasta both nights. Like how hotel was close to entrance to the park.
Our room was close to the lobby which was convenient for breakfast. Doesn't matter how early you get there for breakfast as it is busy most of the time and becomes difficult to get a seat. We did have to complain about the individuals next to us who had young children who kept coming in and out of the room every 2 minutes and slamming the door. Leaving the fan on at night helped drown out noise in the lobby.

Great experience

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Can't think of anything we didn't like
Cons: ??????
Location: Main drag to Grand Canyon
Wished Expedia told us we were on first floor & handicapped room... not Hotel's fault. Clean room, helpful & pleasant staff. Nice breakfast, easy check in & check out.

Close to the canyon

The slightly higher price is accounted for by the location. All in all, a nice stay - not amazing, but the breakfast was nice, the staff friendly, the room clean and the location perfect.

Convenient hotel for the Grand Canyon

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Location only 15mins to the Grand Canyon
Cons: Showers not very powerful and breakfast rather basic.
Location: Not a lot in Tusayan but then most people there are just visiting the Grand Canyon which is truly stunning.
Not a lot of choice in Tusayan but the Holiday Inn is ok for a short stop off. Rooms are large and bathrooms ok but fairly basic. Breakfast is included which is helpful but fairly limited range on offer.

Perfect location to the Grand Canyon!

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: I liked the service and the girls at the front desk were always smiling and very helpful!
Cons: I would have liked an outdoor pool with a place to relax. They also need faster/more bandwith. Very slow and non-existent at times.
Location: Location was convenient to front gate of Park. Few pizza places that were great! Imax theater right next door. Trading posts had cool stuff too!
We stayed a few nights at the Holiday Inn Express during our visit to the Grand Canyon. The location was awesome. Right outside the front gate! There are plenty of places to eat and also a few stores and a gas station, too. Convenience was excellent. The hotel is a bit dated, and only had a small indoor pool. It was have been nice to take a dip and relax at an outdoor pool there, after a visit to the Canyon. The staff was great! Always smiling and very helpful. Free breakfast buffet was average.

Busy and expensive hotel.

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and hotel location.
Cons: The hotel shows a little wear and tear and is expensive for what you get. Business center should be in another room with chairs to sit in.
Location: Grand Canyon
The hotel was adequate and clean for our stay inclusive of an excellent breakfast buffet.
