Nice hotel convenient to Grand Canyon

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: easy access to road to Grand Canyon
Cons: temperature control wider selection at breakfast bar than waffles and toast. Fresh fruit?
Location: Grand Canyon.
Howard Johnson's was under construction/renovation so staying in one building you had to walk outside to the breakfast area/pool. Spa was wonderful after a day of hiking. Room was hot, even with heater off and air conditioner on.

Great rooms!

Renovations were being done in the front, but that didn't bother us at all. Good continental breakfast, rooms were spacious and very comfortable.

Marginal hotel

Posted Jan 3, 2015
There was no hot water to take a shower. We were told there was a large group that just checked in and that they were probably all taking showers. OK... Larger water heater capacity then? The phone wouldn't answer when we picked it up. The sink in the hallway filled up with water because the drain plug wouldn't pop up when you depressed the lever. We were told that they were sorry and they were planning a full renovation soon.

Nice hotel in williams to visit Grand Canyon & #66

Posted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: Room was clean and the staff was friendly. 24/7.
Location: Location: its near highway 66 and there is a lot of restaurants along that historic road. Also the south grand canyon is a good place to go.
Nice hotel located near the #66 road. about 1 hour drive to the grand canyon visitor center. Includes breakfast with very nice muffins.

Horrible staff and ugly hotel

Posted Oct 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Bad old outdated hotel with a matching bad attitude from the day shift. Go stay somewhere else. The locks on the buildings didn't work. The breakfast was basically cheap toast, cheap cereals, bad waffles, bad coffee. The day staff will not help you and give you a bad attitude and yell at you instead. The hotel does not have laundry facilities but is next door to the creepiest, seediest laundromat in town. Also, it sits in front of private houses which uses the hotel parking lot as a common entrance area to get in and out of their property. Overall, this place does not deserve the Howard Johnson name and the rate is a complete rip off. Go stay somewhere else, trust me you'll thank me.

Williams Hotel experience

Hotel was nice and clean. Close to Route 66. Staff friendly. The only thing, I wish- breakfast had more choices (eggs, honey, some spreads for bread) Overall good experience.
