As long as you don't want breakfast....

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Flagstaff has great hiking, biking, a neat observatory, and some national monuments
Good: staff is friendly, beds are pretty comfy, older hotel but room was a good size Downside: our refrigerator hummed so loud we had to unplug it, even though we wanted to use it; only one staff member to work the desk and keep breakfast running; breakfast was a nightmare...way too many people in a tight space for food that wasn't very good

Just okay.

It was close to the Flagstaff vicinity, but it was just okay. The pool was out front by the street, no exhaust fan in the bathroom for showers and the shower temp was unpredictable and low volume. Breakfast was just okay. Small eating area and packaged small muffins. They did have a waffle maker. They initially only put 1 bath towel in for my family of 4, and when I asked for the housekeeping staff to put 4 in (one for each of us) when they refreshed the room, they only put 3. The beds were comfortable though, and it was quiet. Thankfully normal families/people staying, no riffraff.

It's Flagstaff/Route 66 old and nostalgic.

Pros: Booked one room with Expedia; they gave us a smoking room just to get us the booking. The front desk clerk changed us to non-smoking. YEA!
Cons: May be new bed covers. New towels, bigger size. Towels were thin and worn.
Location: Once we learned how to get around the street system it was easy. The Butler exit is busy in the afternoons, so we had to go around a few times.
Stay was nice, safe and clean. The hotel is old and could use some up-dating. Room was clean and the grounds were very clean. The continental breakfast was very nice and offered a variety of eatables. The check in process and personal were a pleasant experience. We did not get to to use the pool, but it was clean and ready for swimming.

Stay somewhere else

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: Reasonable rate, good pet policy
Cons: Wasn't expecting bells and whistles, but always expect the bathroom to be clean
Half of the lights in the room didn't work and the bathroom was dirty. Front desk staff was rude when a family member called in. Would not recommend staying here.

Booked this at last minute... Got what I expected. A few minor electronic malfunctions. Bathtub area not very clean, but all in all a good experience with very friendly front desk staff.

Mediocre

Problems with wifi, poor continental breakfast, pet friendly but not much area for them (the nearby grass says keep off). Asked for more towels and never got them. Just mediocre experience.

Last Minute Booking

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: It was close to the highway.
Cons: Fix electricity. Move that towel rack to prevent head-hurting.
Location: McDonald's is nearby. Highway is nearby.
Hotel wasn't bad if you merely needed a bed to sleep on. Had a few issues I was not comfortable with. There was a rack for towels and such (metal bars rack) directly between the mirror (used for getting ready in the morning) and the wall behind you - not much room. My wife bumped into it a few times fixing her hair (headache morning). The power in half of the room mysteriously went out during the night. Had I used the hotel alarm clock, I would have been in a bad way since it had no power in the morning. I wasn't terribly pleased, but it was a bed to sleep on (and more comfortable than the car). It is, however, close to some easy-access drive-thru places for getting breakfast on the way out (dining area at hotel was full, nowhere to sit).
