Overall the La Quinta was relaxing and was an enjoyable stay. It did have some maintenance problems which were addressed to the front desk during checkout. Unknown if the problems were corrected.

Convenient Location

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Provide an exercise facility. Make sure the in-room coffee maker is clean.
Location: North, east, south or west you can see a lot of Arizona from this hotel within three hours or less driving. Restaurants and shopping are minutes away.
The hotel was conveniently located for our vacation itinerary. We explored a lot of Arizona and were within three hours of the places we visited. The room was quiet and comfortable. The continental breakfast was helpful for a quick start. The detractor for us was the lack of an exercise facility.

Pros: It was clean and convenient for what we were there for. The staff were fine and apologized for the noise.
Cons: Not sure other than tearing it down and constructing it better to sound proof the rooms.
I had stayed there before a couple of times and had good experiences. This time the room was OK but extremely noisy. The walls must be paper thin because we could hear everything the next door were doing including someone using the toilet at 0530. This was Sunday morning and we were looking forward to sleeping in. That did not happen. Also could hear a dog barking at 0530, I am a dog lover but left mine at home, if people bring their dogs they need to be responsible for them. May not stay there again.

Management not helpful.

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer care and cleanliness.
On returning to room in late evening I was quite surprised to find that room was not cleaned. Someone has entered room and removed all napkins & towels but not replaced. Beds were not done, trash was not removed. Manager on duty showed no interest in helping with situation.

Needs some maintenance

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Lobby and grounds are pretty. Rooms were spacious. But the facility was pretty fun down: panels torn off in the elevator, hallways scraped up and not vacuumed (for the3 days we were there), bathrooms worn and dirty, breakfast area got pretty dirty throughout the morning. Hotel is also very dog- friendly and smoker-friendly. Good to know if you don't fit those categories. ;)

Pet and family friendly!

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Loved that it was pet friendly! The breakfast was nice too and had great out door seating to enjoy.
Cons: Parking was the only issue. There was no parking due to trailers taking up 3-5 parking spots. We were forced to park on the street.
Location: Location was great, tucked away from any busy streets. Flagstaff is a great town filled with little hidden gems!
Was in a great area close and near town but tucked away off of the busy street. We stayed here because we were traveling with our dog and it was a pet friendly hotel. Knowing this we didnt expect too much from the rooms knowing that other animals stay in the room, but the room was very clean. We were extremely pleased with our stay and would definatly stay again!

Close to freeway

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Close to freeway
Cons: Clean better, particularly the bathroom. Friendlier staff.
Location: Flagstaff. Stayed on our way to the Grand Canyon. Loved the quaint city of Flagtaff, AZ. and The Grand Canyon. Lots of shopping, history.
Disappointing. Stayed at a similar La Quinta in Carlsbad, CA in June and loved it. The facility in Flagstaff was pricey without the cleanliness and comfort.

Pretty noisy

Posted Jun 16, 2014
I know that summer prices in Flagstaff are inflated but $155/per night seems like a huge ripoff when the walls are made of paper. I know there is only so much you can do to an older building but new doors would be a huge improvement. Overall, it seemed like the hotel was doing all they could to work with what they have but I feel like I paid too much.

It was quiet and convenient though more expensive than other La Quinta's that we have stayed in.

Stay if you like dogs barking

Posted Jun 12, 2014
This hotel caters to travelers with small happy dogs that bark constantly. I have never seen this many dogs in a hotel before. Avoid unless you have one or more!
