Courteous staff, great location, very quiet rooms, great food in restaurant and in a rural setting that was peaceful serene in spite of being near highway. We heard nothing from the traffic when in our room

Well appointed, convenient locationPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: location, classic room style which I prefer, large comfy room
Cons: I can't think of anything
Location: It is conveniently located just off the freeway exit but the surroundings isolate it from road noise, traffic etc. I used it as a launching point for
I liked this hotel quite a bit. It is conveniently located just off the freeway exit but the surroundings isolate it from road noise, traffic etc. I used it as a launching point for a trip up to the Grand Canyon. Special shout out to Steve at the front desk and the folks at Ogden Cleaners which the hotel uses for valet laundry service. I accidentally left a large amount of cash in a pants pocket that I sent out for cleaning. All it took was a call to Steve, he called the laundry and I got every penny back. In this day and age, I applaud their honesty and integrity. I would stop here again without hesitation and not only because my cash was returned.

Comfortable hotelPosted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: It was very warm and comfortable.
Cons: The furniture needs to be replaced.
Location: It is located right off the interstates in Flagstaff.
The lobby was very large and inviting and our rooms were surprisingly large and decorated very homey. The hotel is very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We ate dinner in the hotel dining room which was large as well and the food was excellent! They also have a great gift store where I bought a beautiful pair of earrings. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! Everything a person needs when traveling is here in this hotel. It is very convenient to the Interstates as well.

Noisy guests in hallways on a Saturday Night was the only negative issue. Was awakened several times during the night. Sunday night was nice an uneventful. This was the first time I have had this type of experience here, with stays over many years.

Better than expectedPosted Apr 16, 2015
Location: Convenient. Although, it was tricky finding the entrance - you have to turn into a driveway which looks like you are getting into a gas station.
Was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room we stayed in (255) was bright, clean and spacious, with large bathroom and comfortable beds (nice sheets too :)). It was also very quiet, even though the room faces the freeway - we didn't hear any noises neither from outside nor neighbors. Also very thankful to the staff for saving us from starvation :) - after watching sunset at Grand Canyon, we've realized we were not going to make it to the restaurant onsite (it closes at 9 PM on Suns and Mons) or any other in Flaggstaff (all closed at 9 that day). We phoned in and ordered room service. The dinner was there, in our room, when we've arrived. Some food was even still warm :). Really appreciated the service! Restaurant onsite did have tasty food so we ended up eating there most of the time. Breakfast is not included (at least it wasn't in our room rate), but you can buy great buffet breakfast or order separately from their breakfast menu. Saw vending machines, gym, ice machine - didn't use any of these though. There is a nice gift shop at the hotel if you are looking for last minute gifts from AZ. Highly recommend.

Beautiful grounds. Old facilities and decor.Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: The hotel lotions and soaps are fabulous.
Location: Visit the Flagstaff Observatory. If you're interested in science and astronomy, spend 3 or 4 hours there. The stargazing at night is fabulous!
This hotel is being updated, but our Lodge 2 room was shabby and old. The wallpaper was peeling; furnishings are dated (1980s frilly frilly); and the bathroom needed an extreme overhaul. The beds were comfortable with nice linens and pillows. This room was booked as a two queen room, but actually had two double beds. Overall, it was disappointing for the price paid.

Fantastic location with resort feelPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: secluded and private section of land behind with all the amenities of a resort hotel
Location: Very good location for easy access to: Grand Canyon, Page and downtown Flagstaff
Though the initial walk down the halls remind you of a mix between the Titanic and the Overlook Hotel -don't be fooled! The appointments in the rooms show class and elegance of days gone by. There are modest modern fixtures (WiFi, Sat. TV, etc..). The outdoor pool and jacuzzi looked wonderful and inviting (however the time we spent there was a little cooler than I'd like for swimming outdoors).

Nice family hotel close to Grand CanyonPosted Apr 13, 2015
Cons: 2 out of 3 washing machines were broken...fix them. Better yet, put washers and dryers in each of the 4 buildings.
Location: Grand Canyon is less than 2 hours away. Fratelli's Pizza is really good!
This is a very well maintained hotel in Flagstaff, AZ...just a 2 hour drive to the Grand Canyon. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though the decor is outdated. The pool and hot tub are fantastic; the pictures don't do them justice. There's a great restaurant as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Excellence on every level. Staff was very friendly, room was comfortable and clean. The grounds were extremely well kept, nice hiking trail on property.
