Demolish it and build a Starbucks.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The staff could have been friendlier and more helpful
Location: The location is actually great...right in the downtown historic district, with lots of music & restaurants, and walking distance from NAU.
OK, Expedia refused to publish my first review. I don't know what I said wrong, because I was not profane or dishonest, and just shared the facts. I'll give this one more try. This motel was old, but that's alright. I stay in a place in PA of similar age and accommodation, but the staff and owners there are wonderful. This place was awful. First, when I checked in, the desk staff was unfriendly. Several of the rooms were under renovation. There was furniture blocking a good part of the breezeways, making it very difficult to maneuver my luggage to my room, especially on the narrow second floor where I was housed. The parking is miniscule at best. When I left my space to give a ride home to my NAU student's friend, I returned at 10:30 to find not one parking space, and the office locked. I called the motel and was told to park in the handicapped space, which was partially occupied by a large truck. Had two additional pickups not been parked in front of the office, I might have been able to squeeze in, but there was absolutely no room to do that. I called again, and was told to just leave my vehicle sardined between those vehicles and the truck in the handicapped space. I did that, but this was not acceptable. I have stayed at the other Rodeway near NAU, and was very pleased with that location. That's where I will be staying on my next trip up. I'm not trying to be insulting, I'm just stating what happened.

Very noisy with train across the street

Very convenient to restaurants and shopping, but needs to be updated. Overpriced for the quality of the rooms, and very noisy. The very busy train tracks are across the street.

The room had a very strong ordor and the heat wasn't that great, but overall the place was good enough to stop and take a rest from the road.

Last minute

Posted Jan 25, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking
I booked a room at the Rodeway last minute to avoid a longer drive while I was sick. It was convienently located right downtown within a minutes walk to restaurants and entertainment if you so desired. The parking area was kind of small but with a small car managed to get in and out easily. The room was nothing to write home about but it suited my needs just fine.
