Alternative to depending on the restaurant menus.Posted Oct 21, 2014
We stayed in the studio with the fireplace. Apt complex has full sized, small, kitchen. (Full size fridge w/freezer, stove/oven, overhead microwave, coffee pot, toaster, cookware, dishwasher, towls, pot holder, dish soap, 3 storage bowls, dishes for 2 in studio, peeler, measuring cups, can opener, etc.) Called office, needed cookie sheet and 2 more sets of dishes for our daughters visiting from nau one night, office delivered them very quickly for us. Clean room, comfortable king size bed, decent pillows, bedstands both have plugin areas for electronics and lamps (lil to bright, husband loosened one of the 2 bulbs for night reading.) One complimentary log a day for fireplace, burns about 3 hours. Would of perferred tv and couch set up differently. Nice size tv, but getting a little older, tv set up pretty far from bed. Complementry breakfast. With all the construction going on right now, breakfast is set up for on the go with lil bags set up to fill to take back to your apt. Breakfast sandwiches, milk, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, yogurt, muffins, pb& j, different cerials, fruits, and fruit cocktail, etc. No elevators. Area is quiet where apartments are located, no traffic or railroad. Golf club near by. Nau, downtown, or mall are about 10-15min drive. Office and employees very helpful and quick. Plenty of parking.

very pleasant stayPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: the swimming pool and the hot tub and free laundry
Location: we stayed 2 nights there and went to Meteor Crater and the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
Chose the Sonesta because it was a bit out of Flagstaff city centre and the price of the appartment was reduced because of building work going on. It was easy to find , about half a mile off the freeway. We had a lovely appt overlooking the golf course. We had to collect our breakfast and take it back to our room, but there was absolutely everything you could need to start the day. We saw the builders but were never disturbed by them.

Good apartment hotelPosted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: The newly renovated suites were very good value for money
We stayed in a two bedroom suite at this hotel which had two on suite bedrooms plus a lounge and kitchen. The hotel is undergoing a lot of renovation and our room had recently been renovated and was in very good condition. The work at the hotel did not cause us any issues but breakfast is a "take away" which you eat in your room which was fine as we had the kitchen breakfast bar to eat at. I would recommend this hotel even with the renovations ongoing at the moment especially if you are In a group

Lovely PlacePosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff! Desirae has a great customer service personality!
Cons: The hot tub's jets make the water bubble up (WAY up!) at the edges rather than direct the water to the center, so be prepared to have a wet head!
Location: We only stayed one night, so didn't get to check out much locally, but seems fairly close to a lot of restaurants.
This facility is mid-renovation, but our room had already been updated and was just darling. Very cheerful and laid out efficiently. We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed much longer. We had had a rough day of travel (car issues) so quick check-in and a welcoming room were much appreciated. The provided list of restaurants was very helpful. A visit to the hot tub under a clear, cool night sky was pretty wonderful, too. The bed was comfy with great pillows. Extra blankets were available in the closet, but we didn't need them. This place is really set up for longer-term visitors with a well-stocked kitchen (full size fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, pots/pans, utensils and dish/glassware). The bathroom is small (by today's standards) with an old-fashioned tub/shower usually only seen in homes, but all the hardware is Kohler. The sink/dressing area has good lighting and plenty of drawer storage room. Laundry facilities are available but we arrived too late to use them (ironic, because it was one of the reasons I decided to book here...) Breakfast offerings were grab-n-go style, but plenty of choices. Would definitely stay here long-term if I had the opportunity.

Sonesta Suites in Flagstaf, Az is a great place toPosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: The quiet location and renovated rooms.
Cons: Nothing really except to get the renovations completed as soon as possible.
Location: The hotel is in a very quiet location but only 3 miles from Old Town where there are plenty of breweries and restaurants.
The renovated room was very nice. Looks like a former Residence Inn. The lobby was closed for renovations but the hotel continued to provide free breakfast items from a designated room. Check-in is in a temporary trailer opposite the lobby during renovations. Hotel staff was very friendly. Will probably stay there again if visiting Flagstaff. It's about 3 miles from Old Town but an easy drive into town.

Under reconstructionPosted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: location near I 40. High quality furnature. Full size kitchen applience -- good if extended stay.
Cons: Check in process (with reservation) was slow even though there was no waiting. Address didn't exist on Garmin or Tom.
Location: across from golf course.
If the renovation had been complete, the room would have been worth the price. As it was, there was a temp. loby and a guest room was used for a scaled down breakfast. We were the second guest after reconstruction of our room. It was very nice except for a defect like hot and cold reversed for the tube. Excessive noise came from upstairs -- thumping on floor.

A Newly Remodeled Sonesta ES!Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: This hotel has the best Wi-Fi you will find anywhere and it's free up to 3 devices.
Location: Just use Google.
I stayed at Sonesta 8-20 to 8-23-2014. Sonesta is my go-to hotel while staying in Flagstaff. They have recently done a total tear down, rebuild of their of their suites and they look great. Even before they remodeled, it was still a pleasant place to stay for the price. The only thing I didn't like about the remodel is that before you had a room with a two-seat sofa bed that could sleep two. The renovation took that away and replaced it with a single-seat sofa, one person bed. Because I usually am dropping off my daughter at college, she is only with us for one night. As a result of this remodel, one of the family members had to sleep on the floor. Now, it could be that some rooms have a larger sofa, I don't know. Or, you would have to upgrade to the two-bedroom suite. Other than all of that, the queen size sofa bed was extremely comfortable. They are pet friendly. I highly recommend Sonesta.
