Pricy but ok. Nice room and close to park entrance which means you need to drive 15-20 min more to actual first turist place for sightseeing

Pros: location
Cons: clean, clean, clean and teach them how to serve guests in the restaurant.
Location: Grand Canyon
Great location, good looking hotel. Inside dirty, the 3rd floor carpet was filthy! The chairs in the reception area had soot on them and my wife got it on her white shirt. They didn't seem to care. In the restaurant we were served the soup before the wine and they were not busy. The dinner was disappointing, especially for the price. Overall a we were not satisfied, especially for the price. The bed and the bedding were great.

Great location

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Price
Location: Lots of variety in restaurants and close enough to the National Park.
Nice and close to the park and walkable to lots of restaurants. Although a little pricey, we could only stay a couple of nights on our budget. Nice restaurant on site with live music.

Just Outside the Grand Canyon

Posted Sep 1, 2014
If I had done more research, I would have discovered more affordable options. However, I wanted a nice spot considering I would likely be exhausted from canyon hikes. There was a little lobby reno in progress, but the general appearance was very nice. The location was advertised as selling park passes, but the front desk made me walk down and across the street to another hotel to get what I needed. They were not as helpful as they could have been. The room itself was excellent and comfortable. I ate at the restaurant. Service was very good. The food was above average, but not exceptional. There was a "cowboy singer" (term used by front desk) providing entertainment. He was mediocre and took a long break. Overall, it was an average experience.

Great location look out for deer!

The Grand lives up to its name compared to all the other hotels in town in size and style. A relatively new building on the main street, The grand offers comfortable rooms just 10mins from the Grand Canyon entrance. Gym, pool and laundry set it apart from more basic offerings locally. We eat locally rather than the hotel and there's a general store on the main street. You are close the the park perimeter, demonstrated by our morning encounter with 2 male deer on the path in front of the hotel, making our stay.
