Pros: Staff and rooms.
Location: Dive, snorkel, swim, beach, shopping, restaurants etc...
Wonderful staff to have. Becca and Dez were just awesome. The rooms were more than we expected. Clean, clean clean. Everything about our stay was a 5 out of 5.

If you want to get well away from the corporate hotels on 7 mile beach, this is a great choice, but you do need to be self sufficient!

A must for the serious diverPosted Apr 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Only stayed 1 night on tail end of 10 day trip, but would definitely come back for longer stay. Professional dive operation on site.

Was happy to be away from the crowds on the other side of the island. I really enjoyed the quiet and the fantastic diving with Ocean Frontiers.

A gem for some....Posted Feb 22, 2013
Pros: Room facilities and size.
The Compass is a nicely situated place in the East End. We found it fantastic. Nice people, cosy atmosphere and a one bedroom condo...not a hotel room. Especially nice if someone wants to head to bed before the other. Also, laundry facilities and a full kitchen. If you want to dive, snorkel or just chill out this place gets top marks from us. A couple notes: It is NOT five star. Also the East End is NOT activity central. You need to drive, walk or bike to get around. For us, that is a plus. A nice stroll out for dinner on a pretty quiet road is great. That said, it may not be for everyone. If you like "the road less traveled" its great.

Blissful beachfront idyllPosted Feb 7, 2013
Pros: the beachfront location, cleanliness and lovely decor
Cons: the beach is not ideal for swimming
Location: the East End location is relaxing and peaceful but you should shop for supplies near the airport or Boddentown for better selection and price.
I got upgraded to a beachfront 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo unit as an Expedia VIP. The hotel was immaculate, tastefully decorated in cheerful colors, and opened directly on to a private beach! I loved having breakfast with the sunrise over the ocean, The staff were so helpful with any questions I had and with helping me book on-island excursions. The fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and mini cooler made my stay that much easier and more delightful. I really should have packed lighter because everything was provided for an ideal beach vacation! The snorkel boat tour that was an Expedia VIP bonus was a highlight of my trip. The East End location was so relaxing, away from the congestion of GeorgeTown and the cruise ships. You do need a rental car to get around the island from here but I found the driving scenic and easy, even though I'm not used to driving on the left!

Quiet Location, Great DivingPosted Jan 24, 2013
Pros: Quiet with friendly staff...
If you're looking for the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile beach... this is not the location for you. The condominium accommodations were great: full kitchen set-up, sleeping, pay cell phone and entertianment (satellite TV, stereo, DVD)! Except for a trip to the Foster's grocery store (not far from the resort and a bit pricey), little was needed to make our stay excellent. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The beach was nice enough... although a rocky shoreline. Diving instruction and diving & snorkeling sites were excellent! Sea kayaking was fun. Quiet and out of the way... we rented a car to get us there and about the island.

Very friendly staff. Best dive personnel on the island. Location is away from town so it's good for quiet and relaxing vacation. Beautiful views, but beach is not very good for swimming. Go to The Reef area a few miles away for good beach and snorkeling.
