Northern Lights is a group of nine townhomes, mostly owner occupied. The two story home has two bedrooms upstairs each with its own full bathroom. The master bedroom overlooks the ocean and has a screen porch with hammock. Downstairs there is another screen porch, living room, dining area, half-bath, and kitchen complete with washer and dryer. Everything was clean, neat, and convenient. All we had to supply was food, and the owner would have stocked the fridge if we had asked him to do so before we arrived. The snorkeling off the shore is the best on the island, although difficult when it is too windy. On those days we drove (45minutes) to 7 mile beach and snorkeled and wandered in the sun. One of the best restaurants on the island, Over the Edge, is nearby.
We could not have asked for a more beautiful or restful vacation at a fraction of the cost and the hassle of the tourist filled West side.
We hope to return soon and often.

We just got back from a wonderful vacation at this resort. The views are spectacular, right on beach, quiet, very relaxing, exceptionally clean, friendly and helpful staff, great food at grill on the resort, dive staff very knowledgeable, experienced, worked with us before our visit toward padi certification, pool and hot tub were wonderful after and before diving, our teenage boys had plenty to keep them busy and entertained, including wifi. A great family resort on the less crowded part of grand cayman. We plan to go back within the year.

This was a family holiday at the start of the Cayman's low season with boys aged 13, 11 & 7. It was paradise! The complex was not very busy but this did mean we had the pool, hot tubs and beach virtually to ourselves. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful in all areas.
Days out to StingRay City and Turtle Farm were great for the whole family.
Food and eating out is quite expensive but we had expected this.
The only thing missing from the apartments would have been a restaurant or bar for the evenings when you don't want to go out.
Would love to visit again.

We loved the spacious rooms and exquisite furnishings of this hotel. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily. The front desk employees and maid service were also excellent. Also, the beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen and it was never crowded. Everything you would need to float, play or relax is provided by the hotel. The one negative is the poolside wait service. They are hard to find and slow!!! The food by the pool is also marginal. However, we didn't eat there more than one time and fixed our own drinks to bring to the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel for those that want a quiet, relaxing vacation on one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Also, we were surprised to find out that there are no waves in the ocean at this location. It is like swimming in a pool the water is so beautifully blue and clear. In addition there are no shells but only small pieces of coral. You can snorkel right in front of the hotel. You will be able to see the reefs from your balcony. I wouldn't worry about where your room is located in this hotel. The way it is configured there are no bad views.

Spotts is a great place to stay in Grand Cayman. It truly feels like a Caribbean vacation with the small public beach that is basically private since it has minimal traffic. If you want hustle and bustle and big city living of the Seven Mile resorts, you could just as easily go to Florida. Spotts is very unique and allows you to experience the East End districts and the tourism, without the "Florida" feeling of living at the Seven Mile. Spotts Beach House made it a nice Caribbean vacation.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The snorkeling right near the hotel was very good, especially under the piers. The rooms were spacious, everything necessary for comfort was there, good full kitchen, and a wonderful balcony overlooking the ocean. The view could not have been better and more relaxing.

"Divers resort with fantastic setting and service"
Arie and his staff at Cobalt Coast are fantastic and friendly. Once you stay you are part of the "family". They even gave us the room we stayed in last time! Talk about home-away-from-home! Beds are O-SO-Comfy and rooms are quiet and very comfortable. Food prices are VERY reasonable and are excellently prepared. alcohol prices are just as fair and Colin is an amazing bartender (if you can keep up with his fast talking Irish accent). The diving with Dive-tech is awesome. Don't miss the shore dive at lighthouse point. The mini-wall and the statue of the Guardian of the Deep is just incredible. this is our 3rd trip to Cayman and will not be our last!
