“Planning for next year!”
My wife and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at the Sunset House. We picked the Sunset House primarily from the diving reviews we had read and we where not disappionted! The staff was pleasant, the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, the food was very good and the dive staff and diving was supurb.
“diving center on premesis makes this hotel an ideal location”
the location is terrific because you can walk to George Town and a diving center and 2 restaurants are on site. Service is friendly too.

Hotel is convenient to airport (short taxi ride) and downtown (maybe 15 min. walk). Rooms small, but clean, nothing fancy. Service is prompt and friendly. Restaurant (indoor and outdoor) is very nice - overlooks ocean, and food is excellent. Good hotel rates compared to others - rooms aren't luxurious but who spends vacations in their room? Not me.
“perfect for divers!!”
The hotel was not anything special… I would not recommend it to non-divers. If you are looking for a place to stay with phenomenal diving, this is the place for you. Shore diving was closed for weather a few days, but the days it was open we took full advantage. The hotel bar/restaurant was good, but we needed a change of scenery…. it was a healthy walk into Georgetown for drinks and dinner.
“Friendly, helpful employees”
We found the Hotel simple, pleasant and clean. The grounds were pretty and the bar/restaurant was right on the water. the personnel were very kind and helpful. We had to stay there because we had missed our cruise ship in Miami and had to fly to Gr. Cayman to catch it there. The next morning the front desk called the port to make sure the ship was there and got us a cab. They helped take the worry and stress out of a very stressful situation.
“almost good”
If you stay at the room of the sea side, perhaps it is very good. The front desk man was kind. The room is small, but is clean. The balcony is pretty. It is a good price which faced each other. However, if you hope comfortable and rich holiday, this hotel will not give it to you.
