Character and charmPosted Dec 5, 2013
Pros: Everything, very cosy, comfortable, clean, close to beach.
Cons: Area of continental breakfast, its in a "stripped hotel room" not very pleasing to wake up to. Recommendation to serve "toast" or bagels.
Location: Close to beach, grocery store and restaurants. Didn't want to do much except relax.
This was the third visit this year and each visit was as good as the other. The hotel surroundings are just full of character and charm. the staff are always pleasant and helpful and make you feel totally comfortable, nothing is a bother. We will return again next year I am sure of it. the only negative item I have is the location and quality of the continental breakfast. My recommendation is not to have it in a "hotel room" its depressing and please offer "toast", I am sure this would be more pleasing than the miniature pastries served. Thank you for three wonderful visits. A special recommendation to "Ricardo", he is the best!

Walking distance to beachPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: This hotel has all basic facilities you would need, the staff were very helpful, and friendly with all requests we made which makes a big differenc
Location: Its walking distance to 7 mile beach, some shops. You can get a shuttle/bus to places like turtle farm and they offer tours to stingray city.
It isn't a super fancy hotel but it has all basic facilities one would need to be comfortable and have a pleasant stay in Cayman Islands. The air conditioning was good (which is important as Cayman can get hot). Breakfast provided is handy it was yoghurt, oranges, cakes, tea, coffee cereal (from what i remember) basic but makes for an easy start to the day. Wifi works well, room was clean, there are flights of stairs to rooms, no lifts from what i could see if you have a heavy bag, (it wasn't a problem for me as my boyfriend could help with my bag) overall good value for money.

Nice resort two blocks from the SMBPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: The pool area. It is very refreshing to stay by the poolside with the swooshing palm trees and the breeze. The resort is very clean and tidy.
Cons: Not sure if I understood their 2 towel policy. It was just a hassle - even for poolside towels. Could be made better.
Location: For Kids - Drive two roundabouts north and you'll get to a public beach parking area. This place has play-area for the kids right on the beach.
- Very nice resort hotel with pleasing staff. - Swimming pool is nice where you'd want to just relax after a long day at the beach. However, it is on the doorsteps of their "SunShine Grill" restaurant. So after 6PM, all the restaurant guests just wait on the lounge chairs by the poolside. It then seems pretty inappropriate for resort members to just swim in the pool while all the waiting people stare at you. - Plenty of complimentary beach chairs and beach towels for you to take with. - Cannot go wrong with their price (paid USD$220/night for 1 bed suite). (Compare this: avg gas price is CI $5.60/gal i.e. USD$7/gal or an average dinner entree is CI $30 or USD $38). - Breakfast is continental and complimentary. Nice variety with fruits, dairy, bread and cereal.

Construction during visit.Posted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Location, restaurant and awesome staff!!
Cons: Inform potential customers of construction before booking and somehow limit the noise between the units and outside noise.
Location: Close to the Beach and restaurants.
Great Staff, wonderful location, across the street from 7 mile beach. Only problem....we were not informed about the construction before our stay which was the installation of new carpet in the units above us and below us. They moved us to a different room and then they were doing construction below us. They were moving furniture all day and the walls do not block all the sound from each and every room or outside. If it was not for the construction it would be a nice place to stay with the exception of the noise from outside and the walls between the units in our opinion.

Good timesPosted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: Great front desk, room was clean - cool. Staff was friendly. Food was awesome - fish tacos!!
Cons: Update the decor some - although - clean is most important to me.
Location: Scuba diving was great - I did a two tank dive, Diver Down was great also the preferred vendor.Swam with the dolphins at Dolphin cove.
I got in on a thrusday night and went over to the Sunshine Grill and had an awesome burger, then made plans to dive the next morning. Front desk was friendly and made it easy to book things to do, also helping arrange transportation and recommended actitivities as well as discounts with favorite vendors. The morning "grab & go" breakfast was perfect - I hit it every morning. I stayed through Sunday afternoon, swam with dolphins, drove the island and hit Calico Jacks for some nightlife fun. If your from the states, they drive on the left....just sayin'- you might not want to rent a car if you haven't driven left before. In all, it was a super get away - will do it again!!!!
