“Very pleased but fitness center lacking”

This hotel gets a superb overall rating on an absolute basis. On a relative basis it might not be rated as highly as it does lack certain amenities that the bigger chain hotels have and it is a short walk to the beach. But provided that one understands that, it is best in its class. No frills but very pleasant staff, guests and atmosphere. Very pretty property. Good value. Only complaint we had (my daughter and I on spring break trip) was lack of fitness center and the center where privileges were provided was too distant to be workable for us. I could not have stayed here with my husband who would be in a very bad mood without a fitness center, despite the loveliness of the island!

“Cayman wedding trip”

I would definately go back. Quiet, pleasant place to relax with an excellent restaurant. Breakfast was more than I expected, a pleasant surprise. Poolside is very nice with palm trees around and not noisy. Lots of families, but all were well behaved. Beach is nearby, a 5 minute walk away. There are no crosswalks across a busy street, but it was not a big problem. Drivers were courteous, but I walk with a cane so may have gotten more consideration. I might be more concerned if I had small children with me. Water appears to be softened (lots of sodium in it), so I'd recommend drinking bottled water. Beach is fantastic, but be sure to wear some kind of water shoes with soles as there is an area with a drop of of about 2 feet that is broken shells-hard on the feet. Cabs are very expensive, so consider renting a car.

“Great Vacation in the Caymans!!”

Price was right. Room was clean and functional. Swimming pool perfect. Restaurant was perfect! Beach was a short walk away. Other restaurants, and party store and bank was all within a short walking distance. Seven Mile Beach is fantastic!

“Very pleased”

Grand Caymans is a fairly costly destination. This was a great hotel at a great value. Food at the restaurant was great and affordable as well. Would stay there again!

“great hotel A++++”

The hotel is very clean, rooms were very clean and having a refrigerator was nice.The staff was awesome and very friendly.My room didn't have hot water for some reason but I didn't complain. Im sure if I did they would have fixed it asap. You do have to take a short walk to the beach but its not a problem. The hotel offers free beach chairs and towels. The restaurant is good, im not sure what the big deal about the fish tacos are there were ok nothing to write home about. The hamburgers were great and so was the service. The free breakfast wasn't bad, it consist of mostly cereal and eggs with toast, coffee and orange juice. Overall I gave a excellent rating because of the price, cleanliness and the staff. I would defiantly stay at this hotel again. a+++++

“I'll be back!!!!”

the hotel was more like a suite. all include kitchens fully stocked..Everyone we mentioned to about where we stayed would always boast about the Sunshine Grill which is considered the best restaurant on the island even the locals go there to eat. Best fish tacos and blue cheeses burgers. The hotel has a very welcoming atmosphere. The beach is about the minutes away. Just be careful crossing the main street because they drive on opposites, sides,of the streets. Everything shuts, down by ten pm so if you want to continue the fun you must,either continue in the room or at a nearby bar next to the shops on the strip mall right outside the suites.

“Great Value - Friendly and comfortable hotel.”

This hotel is an amazing value for Seven Mile Beach area. It is across the street from the beach, but just a short walk. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous - they attended to our needs quickly. The Sunshine Grill has fantastic food at a most reasonable price for the area in comparison to other hotel restaurants. And, as a plus, they offered a free breakfast every morning which was really tasty! Pool was crystal clear and surrounding area was clean and comfortable. Overall, this is a fantastic value for the area.

“We'd go back in a heart beat!”

The staff was great, always friendly, and very casual. Food at Sunshine Grill was very good at a reasonable price. The walk to the beach was not a problem, as drivers on the road always stopped to let us cross.

“Wonderful Hotel”

We enjoyed the hotel. It was in a great location and half the cost of the hotels right on the beach. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and you can bring free chairs to the beach. Dinners at the hotel were incredible. The breakfast was ok but it was free. Internet was fast. You can catch the public bus right outside and it is $2.50 US to go anywhere from 7 mile beach to Georgetown (tourist area). Staff was extremely helpful and gave good recommendations and made phone calls to local restaurants and excursions. Highly recommended!
