“comfortable & affordabe”

As a person on a budget, I was looking for something comfortable. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room itself and the friendly cleaning lady who wanted to give me new towels every day. In addition, it was very Hot while I was there, but the Air-Conditioning was excellent as well. Since food prices are very high on the Cayman Islands, I greatly appreciated the kitchenette so I was able to cook on the electric stove several times. In addition, the mini refrigerator also came in handy, as my drinks were kept cold. I was also able to request a toaster and coffee maker without any additional charges. Overall, the place was very well maintained including the pool, whirlpool, and access to the beach. On a daily basis in the morning time, the pools and surrounding areas were being cleaned. Of importance, was the mini market in the lobby, where I was also able to buy cereal, some snacks, and coffee.Even though I wanted more water pressure in the shower, the hot water was always available in the morning time. Since I was on vacation and wanted peace and quiet, the resort was perfect for me. In conclusion, I would definately recommend this resort to others. It was very affordable and clean. In the future, I will take other family members to this resort.

“What a find.”

Treasure Island Resort is not a fancy full service hotel. The room we had has a small kitchenette with utensils, plates, cups, bowls, a small refrigerator and two burner stove. Stop by the grocery market and stock up on your favorite breakfast items and snacks. There is no in room meal service. The open air lobby is beautiful with a small bar and very expensive coffee shop. There is a small liquor store across the hotel parking lot if you should desire a libation. Check out the Billy Bones Tiki Bar. The food is good and staff is very friendly. Watch for the iguna that are everywhere. The beach is just beautiful. The room rates are very reasonable, since we were out doing things much of the time. You won't need an alarm clock if your a light sleeper. :) The rooster starts his serinade between 5 AM and 5:30 AM. The maintenance crew starts around 6AM. We rented a car, but wish we hadn't as the buses go everywhere! I didn't get a lot of help from the dive shop located at the hotel, so decided to use Dive The Dream and was very happy with the service they provided. I hope we can come back soon, and would be happy to stay at this hotel again. We had a room on the top floor and loved the view. If you want a full service hotel, this is not it. If your needs are a comfortable bed, with a clean room to come to you'll be very satisfied.

“"Will stay again"”

We used to live on Grand Cayman and had stayd at Treasure Island years ago when it was new. It has become a bit dated now and could use improvement on outdoor cooridors and elevators. However the staff was great, our rooms neat and clean and Billy Bones one of the best palces to eat on the island! And the wahoo there was as good as The Wharf! Good economical place to stay, beach was gorgeous and the little mini mart kept us from having to go anywhere else.

“Economically the best hotel in Grand Cayman”

For being the cheapest hotel in Grand Cayman, you can't beat the size of the rooms, the amenities, the pools, and best of all the swim up bar. Plenty of locals come to the bars at TI because of the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget.

Treasure Island is a FIND. Way less expensive than the surrounding resorts. The staff is extremely friendly and the beach is a few steps away. Swim-up bar? Yes, please. There's a private lagoon that's great for skinny dipping too. Oops, pretend you didn't read that. To be fair the refrigerator smelled a little funky and the beach was nicer further down the strip, but for the price this place was great. I thought it was impossible to go to the Caymans on a budget. I would definitely go back to Treasure Island.

“No complaints, go back anytime”

I was a little apprehensive about this hotel after reading some bad reviews. However, I must say, I was really satisfied with Treasure Island. We could have had room on the top 5th floor, but we did not want to wait another 30 minutes for it to be ready and got a 4th floor room which still had an ocean and nice pool view. The room was spacious, had plenty of clean towels, a decent kitchenette, was very clean with daily housekeeping, the beds were queen size with good quality sheets and comforter. The convenient bar right by the pool closed early every night, was never roudy and noise was never a factor. There are 3 clean large pools. The front desk was helpful and friendly. The beach had a breakwater but also some rocky areas on the side. The plus side on that is that snorkeling was great and we saw a sea turtle the first time we went in. 200 yards up the beach is perfect sand. The permanent residents of the hotel were never a bother. My little daughter had a great time at the pool with their kids.. The on site dive operator was great and had punctual pick up service. A large grocery store is fairly close by. The TV was a late model LCD type with many channels. - This room was better than at many large US 3 star chain hotels in the US. I just don't get the complaints some people have. For the price I paid, I was more than happy at this resort. The people I met who stayed at the 4 and 5 star resorts did not look any happier. Maybe because they paid a lot more than me.

“More bang for your buck”

Great pools, nice waterfalls, I enjoyed the inguanas at the pool. Liked feeding the birds. 5 am rooster is a pain if you want to sleep in. Kind people.
