Hotel Stay

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: It is relatively new and quite appealing.
Cons: not that impressed with one of the staff on the evening we checked in, however, I did not note her name. She was like "What can I do for you?"
Location: quite central to all shopping, restaurants, etc.
The hotel was convenient to shopping areas and also to the university where we were attending an event. The only slight was the noise from the interstate. I think next time I will be sure to ask for a room that faces away from the busy interstate. The continental breakfast was excellent, and having coffee available 24 hours was also very convenient.

great experience

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Location: shopping right around the conner
my family travel to grand forks quite often, and this time we stayed two nights, the second night was a impulse decision, but they still gave us the same great price, and even changed us to a lager room because we have a little kid with stroller. clean room and friendly staff, the breakfast was the best among hotels in this area(and similar price level). cons: sofa bed wasn't very comfy(I don'[t know how that could be improved) some toys in the swim pool would be great, because of the size and kind shallow, most of the time it were kids using it.

close to shopping

noisy room, little privacy for the big price. Bathrooms are wierd. Party in hallway seemed uncontrolled by hotel staff.

Sorry for the inconvenience with the guests in the hallways. We did ask the guests to respect the other guests and stay out of the hallways and keep the noise down. Sorry for the troubles

Nice hotel, pleasantly surprised

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Loved the bed and shower. I also liked the business center, especially since I needed to print several work documents last minute.
Cons: When I told the staff in the morning about the noisy family the woman checking my out of the hotel was a little snippy.
This was a very nice hotel and I was very thankful to the staff who was able to check me into my room 2 hours before the official check in time. The bathroom was very luxurious for a chain hotel, and the bed was one of the comfiest I have ever had at a hotel. I also liked the business center, especially since I needed to print several work documents last minute. Most hotels would have charged by the page, but this hotel allowed pretty limitless pages for no charge. The only issue that I had was that a young family was staying at the hotel after a UND hockey game, and the kids were running down around and using rather loud (not particularly yelling) voices, but the staff quickly quieted them down by 11:30.

New and Updated Hotel

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: That it had a new updated modern look and feel
Cons: All is good
Location: It is close to the Columbia Mall and Big Box Stores in Grand Forks
The hotel was visually appealing as soon as you walk through the door. We stayed in the King Suite and it was also modern and appealing with clean lines, bright colors, and big windows. The room was separated with a 1/2 wall and desk which we enjoyed having a sofa to relax on instead of the bed. The continental breakfast had everything from eggs, oatmeal, cereal and waffles. Go early as it is hard to fight the crowd and kids if the hotel is booked. Great place to stay, we will be back.

Nice..kind of 'Ikea' like.

Nice room, furnishings reminded us of Ikea, lol. Room by the elevator was quiet. The only thing; if you are going to have vases etc. cleaning staff should check them daily. Ppl are stupid and use them as garbages. Ours had 3 different pieces of gum in it.
