Paradies unter Palmen

Posted Dec 4, 2014

Pros: the close beach, free water sport, good food and lots of verity- no need to leave the hotel for food or anything!! and beautiful rooms! great stuff!
Cons: the room maintenance.. make sure they are clean as they should be so no ants will walk around looking for food
Location: great location! the hottest part of the island!!!! toke some trip around the islands! lots to see with beautiful view!
we stayed there for our honeymoon! the hotel offer a great experience! has it's own beach, doctor, water sport and the stuff try to take care all of your needs as much as possible!!!!! got treated like it should be in 5* hotel:) only one shame thing- the hotel rooms are not maintain the best- have ants everywhere. they moved us to a better room because of that and spray again but they still kept coming back:(

Nicht zu empfehlen!

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Logik?!

Wonderful hotel and service

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: The hotel and it's location is beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is great. Calm, relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Snack/drink options in the shop as the bars and restaurants are very expensive if you're not on an all inclusive package.
Location: The hotel is quite secluded but a local bus runs from just outside the resort to Goodlands and Port Louis and there are plenty of taxis available.
One of the best hotels I've ever been to. Perfect for a romantic or relaxed break. Food is excellent - both buffet and a la carte restaurants. Plenty of water sports to do (free of charge) or tours to other areas of the island.

Beautiful Resort 5*, Beautiful Country

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: Attention to detail, our personal needs inc being vegetarian was taken care of.
Cons: I wanted to try the Jack Fruit which grows all over the island and also Sugar Cane Juice would've been so nice. We had some at a view point, so SWEET
Location: Not too much near by you will have to use a taxi, but that's the point of this resort escapism I don't want to be near anything except the beach LOL
Amazing resort, we stayed in the Junior Classic suite at the Lux Belle Mare as we were upgraded from our original booking of Lux Grand Gaube as we were on our Honeymoon. The room is amazingly sized even though it is I believe the cheapest one. We were on Half Board basis which was perfect for our needs as a full breakfast and full dinner is easily all we needed, and we shared a lunch from Beach Rouge once or twice during our stay. Normal non alcoholic drinks are similar to UK bar prices in London, our bill at the end was less then hundred pounds, and we were mainly having fruit cocktails and lattes for dinner, which was very good bill for a 7 night stay. Those drinking alcohol may want to go all inclusive as prices are high for those drinks. Being Vegetarian was not an issue you will be well catered for and they will also make you something special as well if need be.

Great stuff, staff allright

Posted Sep 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed 9 nights in August/Sept for a honeymoon. A lot of activities such as bike tours (arranged by the gym), tennis, gym classes, yoga, boot camp, water activities, outdoor movie - all but the bike tours were included in All inclusive (and I think also in half-board). Food at the à la carte restaurants was excellent. Service at The Beach with Jean Phillippe is beyond perfect. Satish/barista also great. Internal communication needs improvement. When we arrived at the hotel we were asked to provide evidence that we had made an agreement via e-mail about the cost for upgrading from half-board to all inclusive, they did not take our word for it. And our "deal" was regular price - we found out from other guests. Venue is big and it does not feel crowded, which is great! I'd say that staff is generally nice and want to do their best, but it fails in some areas. A lot of the staff do not know how to handle lactose intolerance for one. We had a "romantic dinner" which became a disaster service-wise. Some of the staff are very young and inexperienced and are clearly in need of supervision. A couple of times we ordered drinks that never showed up (no biggie). They have a tipping system where the tip is divided amongst the staff, which I guess is good - even though some staff deserve the tip a lot more than others. When we asked before we arrived what the difference was between half board and all inclusive we did not get an answer - and we still don't know for sure.

Brilliant paradise location excellent honeymoon

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Everthing !
Cons: Nothing
Location: Shopping, coco Isle, helicopter rides, tennis courts, golf, restaurants, clubs
We had the most amazining honeymoon at Lux Grand Gaube, the service I the best we have ever experienced! I wish all hotels were like this one! The food is exceptional especially for me as a vegetarian it was full of variety and Michelin star quality food it was beyond outstanding. our room was luxurious and practical, the wonderful bathroom compliments were great! Top quality, Bernhilla and Jean Phillipe should be promoted for their outstanding service. The location was just simply paradise the hotel entertainment was first class star gazing, live bands, shows, cinema on the beach at the Banyan the restaurants the Lux cafe the ICI ice cream mini van. The cocktail party on the beach the club nights , the beach the water sports, glass bottoms boats, snorkelling wind surfing,ç somone ingredients, sailing, water skiing its all inclusive. The food is just superb! The staff are all brilliant. The celebration desk and the reception and Hommesh at Conciege ensure that there is nothing that they cannot or will not do for you. the Lux me Spa is just wonderful. I can't compliment this hotel enough, the music the ambiance the fragrances the people are just wow. I wish we could have been there longer. If you would love a holiday dreams are made of this is the best place to go.

Wunderschönes Resort

Posted Jul 10, 2014
