Of the 5 places we stayed on the road this was the best of all... Everyone was great!! Rooms nice and clean, swimming pool a must for grandson...perfect and great buffett... Price was right too!! Best value!!

Not worth the rate

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The location of this hotel is very good. Free breakfast is nice, but it was very crowded and difficult to navigate the breakfast area.
Cons: Better mattresses would be a great start!
Although we've stayed at this hotel before, this visit demonstrates a lack of upkeep that is starting to catch up with this aging property. Our bed was very hard and very uncomfortable. The toilet barely worked, when it did work and it usually did not flush properly. The shower curtain was torn in several places. Overall, it just seems like this property is not being "well kept".

Pay more for another hotel!

The hotel smelled of smoke. The door knobs were broken so someone in our party got stuck in the bathroom. Maintenance came to fix it but it was not fixed.

We chose this hotel because it was along our travel route. Everything was fine, and nothing disappointed us.

Nice clean hotel

Great breakfast. Our only complaint is that the bathroom area is small. Otherwise, I would give it a five.

Cozy respite nestled in a Colorado mountain town

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: It had affordable, quality accommodations for young & old: outdoor pool, hot tub, indoor recreation center with table tennis & pool table equipment.
Cons: Breakfast was great, but a "Happy Hour" keg of free beer & chips in the breakfast area about 7:00 pm would be a great addition. Just kidding.
Location: I was only in town two nights and my time was pretty much occupied. I thought the Two Rivers Convention Center was a great venue for the debates.
I drove from Colorado Springs to Grand Junction to attend an Activist Training Session and later attended the debates of Mark Udall vs Cory Gardner and Irv Halter vs Doug Lamborn, which turned out to be a revealing & rewarding experience! Although I have enjoyed the I-70 route in the past, this time I chose to take the "off-the-beaten-path" route through Woodland Park, Monarch, Blue Mesa, Grand Junction. Wow! What a great decision that was. Unbelievable beauty captivated this unknowing camera buff. And, to top it off, I was treated to a top-notch place to rest my weary 70-yr-old bones at the Clarion Inn. I'm living the good life in my retirement years!

Pros: Everything except internet hook up.

Nice location for area

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: The location and the price.
Cons: Rooms should be ready at 4:00 pm. Travelers are tired and just want to get to the room. Organize breakfast area. Too congested.
Location: Palisade wineries, peaches. Grand Mesa. Colorado Monument. Easy acess to I-70.
Room was not ready when I arrived for check in. Hotel smells musty. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. The AC/Heater unit sounded like is was going to blow up or a freight train was coming through the room.So didn't dsleep much the second night. Booked two rooms on-line, when I arrived they did not have two rooms close together, Finally after leaving because no rooms were clean I came back around 5:30. Finally I just accepted two roooms about 6 rooms apart. Breakfast was decent but people are rude and it was total chaos the first morning. The second morning I just went across the parking lot to Village Inn. At least there was no shoving and I could enjoy a hot breakfast in peace. Not a total disappointment but not as nice as other Clarion Inns I have stayed at.

First, I want to apologize that we did not meet your expectations. A hotel is defined by the quality of the service it provides to its guests. Consequently, it’s disappointing to learn that you were not completely happy. Please accept my sincere apology. I hope that you will give us another opportunity in the future to right the wrongs you experienced. Thank you for the feedback. Sincerely, Greg Front Desk Manager
