All went well until today. Out of the blue I was charged another 11.48!! My credit card was charged the agreed upon amount already. Then later this. No mention of charges for parking on their hotels.com page so I chose them. Hidden fee apparently! Not impressed.

Nice place, but fees were not appreciated.
I am never happy with hidden fees. Parking fee was not mentioned clearly in online registration. Location of parking in relationship to room was also a factor - combine the two and I felt that the customer was not being treated as fairly as they should have been.

One MAJOR safety issue. The room showers are elevated almost a foot off the floor, and have no non-slip surface on the bottom. Stepping up and down in and out of the shower is extremely hazardous, my feet slipped all over, so I needed a strong grab on the safety bars. I'm guessing every room is like this, so be warned and be careful. Next, the remote and on-screen guide on the TVs is almost useless. The channels in the guide have no numbers, just names, so every time you want to return to a channel you've located, you have to scroll through all the channels to find it again. The remote also has no ability to enter numbers. Whoever thought this system was any kind of upgrade has never spent a night in a hotel.

Great weekend outing!
I didn’t use much of the facilities because I was out on a wine tour most of the day, but I loved the proximity to the main downtown area for dinner and shops in the evening. It was also a perfect location from the Amtrak train station, where I came in from Denver (just a 5 minute walk to the hotel). Made for a nice weekend outing!

We love staying at Hampton Inns. This one was no exception. The only thing I would suggest is that the elevator carpet and general back entrance by the parking lot be spruced up.
