“No Frills”

This is a no frills Motel and as such, I got exactly what I expected. The room was clean, but the furniture was somewhat dated. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My reason for staying at any motel is to sleep and I had no problem doing that. For the cost, the Mesa Inn is certainly the best 'deal' in the Grand Junction area.

“Modest Accommodations for a Reasonable Price”

We were charmed when they presented us with a contract written from our dog's point of view about how he agreed to behave while he was there. They're pet-friendly, the room was clean and quaint and had a coffee-maker, a microwave and a refrigerator. We're looking for an affordable, pleasant place to rest when we travel, and don't need all the extras; we make our own fun and would rather spend what we have on experiencing the place we're visiting - so, the place we sleep doesn't have to be ritzy, just nice. The Mesa Inn delivers. We liked it just fine, and we'd stay there again.

“A Very Pleasant Surprise”

After reading a number of negative reviews, I didn't expect much from my stay at the Mesa Inn. I'm now wondering if those unhappy people were expecting too much from an economy motel. I found the people at the front desk to be friendly and efficient, and the housekeeping staff to be thorough. My room wasn't any bigger than needed to hold a queen size bed, miscellaneous bedroom furniture, a mini-refrigerator and microwave. I don't know what other people do, but I use a motel room to sleep and relax. If you want to entertain 50 of your close friends, go rent a hall. As to the complaints about the complimentary breakfast... Well, a Continental Breakfast is what it is. If you want something more, there's a Denny's restaurant next door. Yes, the motel is in the process of being renovated, but there wasn't anything that was so bad as to affect my stay. To sum it up, the Mesa Inn is clean, quiet, well located and offers more for the dollar than other economy motels. I would gladly stay there again and recommend it to my friends. (My friends aren't spoiled and don't expect a deluxe suite for an economy price.)

“Walking Distance from the Airport & St Mary's - It's Perfect!!!”

The service received from the front desk was top notch. They could not have been nicer or more professional. The buttons on the microwave were sticky, and the inside of the door was covered in fingerprints around the knob and against the door frame. All the important parts were sparkling clean - the bed linens were soft and smelled great, the shower sparkled, and the sink was shining. It's across the street from the grocery store & Starbucks and they have smoking rooms! Great prices, great people, great location. I loved it!

We were pleased - bed was confortable - they had free WIFI and were very good to explain how to sign on to it. Small but comfortable for the price - great for an overnite stay

“No one else had rooms”

Was delighted to get the room during the Colorado Wine Fest, as 10 or 15 hotels we checked were filled, clean rooms, not real modern, but comfortable, not overly roomy, but again comfortable, couldn't get adjacent rooms (we needed 3 rooms for our group). But most everything was booked everywhere else. price was reasonable. Was some disturbances by other guests who were partying quite loudly, Continental breakfast was dry cereal, with milk, juice danishs, or bagels, lots of coffee, in rooms as well. Was convenient to several restaurants, and main access to highway.

Will definitely go back. If you are looking for a cheap, clean hotel for a hiking stay this is the one!

“Better than we expected for the price!”

Because we were only styaing one night, and knew we would be int eh hotel for long, we booked solely on price, We had low expectations going in, and were pleasantly surprised with what we got. The check in was very easy, front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was the wi-fi, it was availalbe...but that's about it! We couldn't get a connection unless we got close to the office. If we have another short stay in Grand Junction, we will definitely stay at the Mesa Inn.
