This Grand Marais/Gunflint Trail resort has its very own private beach. Gunflint Lodge has 2 restaurants (a bistro and a fine dining facility) and also features the Red Paddle bar. Gunflint Lodge features a marina, hot tubs and saunas in many cabins, and in the winter-ski-in/ski-out access. The property provides complimentary wireless Internet access in the main lodge. A modest conference center accommodates small corporate or social groups. This property also offers spa services, barbecue grills, and gift shops/newsstands. The property has a front desk available during limited hours. Onsite parking is complimentary.

Gunflint Lodge has 2 restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Red Paddle Bistro features homemade walleye chowder (a signature soup of the lodge), big juicy hamburgers and deli style sandwiches. A variety of beverages include tap beer, a large selection of bottled beer (domestic and imported), a nice wine selection and cocktails. Justine's Fine Dining offers 5 custom selected entrees each evening including the featured house entree of beer batter walley with a sweet sour mango sauce. The menu changes daily. Full beverage service is also available.

A private beach and a marina are featured at the hotel. Free canoes and kayaks are available to guests. Staff naturalist lead a variety of guided activities during the week that include such things as a moose search, wolf howling, voyageur canoe paddle, kid's fishing fun, star gazing, birding, wild flower hikes, and much more. A horse stable is on the property and offers 1 hour, 2 hour, 1/2 day, and breakfast and dinner rides. Fishing guides are available for walleye, lake trout, smallmouth bass and northern pike fishing. A variety of hiking trails start right behind the lodge. In the winter there is cross country skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding. New in 2012 is the Towering Pines Canopy Tour- a 2+ hour nature adventure experience.
