“Great stay, no complaints.”

We stayed here for a local wedding and it fit the bill. No complaints--our room was updated, clean, and quiet. We were even right next to the elevator and heard nothing. We spent some time in the pool and hot tub; all was great. If we ever visit Grand Rapids again, we'll definitely stay here.

“Wonderful hotel, except...”

The hotel had several "younger" guests at the same time we were there. After a long day of shopping for various things for our son's wedding we were ready to relax at the pool. We waited for kids to leave and then went down. But, when we got there we were told it was closed due to a "youngster having an accident" in the pool. A kid pooped in the pool. So we asked if we could go to the hot tub. Nope, an older child had broken one of the jets and they had to order a part. The pool was the number one reason we stayed at the hotel. I suffer from fibromyalgia and with all the walking/shopping I was sure a soak in the pool would be great. Also, I would encourage the hotel management to retrain their desk employees to stop calling everyone "guys". As a 50 yr old woman, I don't want to be called a "guy". Not from someone behind the desk of the hotel, someone I don't know.

We loved our weekend break here. Staff very nice. Rooms very clean and modern.Great fitness room and pool and hot tub to relax in! We would come back again!

I would not have been able to afford this hotel at full price. With Expeida's half rate offer, I was able to stay close to my son's college and stay within my budget.

“What a great place”

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was smaller than I thought, but it had everything I could want. The bed was better than mine. We stayed for 3 nights. The pool and hot tub were very clean. We just loved staying there. It was very close to lots of shopping and great places to eat. I will return.

“Crown Plaza Grand Rapids Stay”

We have stayed at this hotel several times now. They have a large pool area. The hot tub is of good size and is always hot. Their is a work out area that has some good exercise machines available to guests. The overall facility is kept up quite well, they have large ballrooms for conventions or dining area for special occasions - like an Easter buffet the weekend we were staying. The rooms are clean and the maid service was good. The rooms aren't overly big, the beds are comfortable. We like the location, just off the expressway, less than 10 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. Location on 28th street has all the shops and chain resteraunts to choose from,

“good hotel but bad resteraunt service”

Bed was hard and not to comfortable. Not much relaxing in the hot tub with all the children playing around the pool splashing with little or no supervision. Resteraunt was not to good service was terrible. Dinner forgot part of our order completely and brought it out for free afterwards. Steak was raw and not medium. Breakfast same thing. Ordered fro.is and never got them. One waitress for the whole place. To much for one person to handle. Now check in and check out was great, no problems at all. All staff was freindly and courteous overall the hotel was descent and we would stay again if the need arises.

“Great value near airport and businesses”

This hotel is within minutes of the airport and a great value. It's a little older but the rooms are very comfortable and have been updated.
