We stayed just up the street at a different place when we flew in from Arizona before we rented a vehicle this time we picked this hotel for the night before flying home. The young lady at the front desk was absolutely spot on very friendly and pleasant wish we would’ve stayed here a couple weeks ago. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to michigan.

I gave 4 stars only because there is still construction going on, but it is only a small area. Best mattress I think I have slept on, rooms are updated and the design is colorful and very nice. We were late night travelers so didn't get breakfast, but received a bag with waters and a snack when we came in.

This location needs to get it together.
For the last six years i have only stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites locations when i travel. This was by far the worst of all of the locations I have stayed at. To start, the staff memeber that checked us in barely spoke to us. The room was very dirty, like visible dirst on things and the employees "cleaning" were literally cleaning the same room acoss from us for several house and clocking the entire hall. A vacuum sat in the same spot in the hall for our entrie stay from check in to check out. The coffee station never seemed to be fully stocked and was always covered in dumped coffee, hot chocolate powder or sugar all over. The doors did not latch on their own when closing, we had to make sure to give it an extra pull to latch it on ALL three room that my family members were in. We arrive to breakfast 45 minutes after it started and although there was pelnty of food and the staff member was more that willing to help with anything we needed (by far the best employee we had contact with) everything was cold or hard, the toaster made the toast taste like copper (we tasted it before and after tasting and it WAS indeed caused by the toaster). I am never one to expect perfection but qwith the rates these hotels charge these days, there were far too many things wrong at this location to not be frustrated. (Sadly it will not allow photos to be added)

Overall the room was clean but we had to have them replace the sheets on one of the beds when we arrived. They were clearly dirty but the bed was made up with the dirty sheets. The room we reserved was not the room we were given. We reserved a two queen room but were given a King with a couch-bed. Breakfast was so-so, not the best but OK. Staff was very friendly and good to work with and did their best to take care of the situations.

The king bed room had the look and feel of a studio apartment more than a hotel room. The room was incredibly clean and the staff at the morning breakfast and front desk was incredibly courteous and friendly! Also their waffle bar at breakfast was delicious!

Had smoke detector flashing bright white every 2 min all night long reflecting through out room very annoying. Eggs undercooked and sausages dryer out need to be in correct warmer. Just not up to what use to be Hampton Inn standards. Very disappointing!

The staff was great, the pictures of the listing lead you to believe that there is a hot tub on the property, there was not. Which is the entire reason we chose this hotel, so it was very disappointing. The rooms (suites) are roomy, but the beds are terribly uncomfortable. Breakfast was good tho.

I am so sorry, we are at the very end of our 5 million dollar renovaton here and have not received our new and updated photos from when they were taken. I always recommend calling the hotel if there is a make or break amenity you are looking for just to double check- we have not had a hot tub since last summer, I apologize.

Most of the staff at as very polite.The bed had blood stains in the sheets of the bed. There was also people above me and next to me that was pretty loud. I tried not to complain since I know the staff was busy. I liked the bathrooms and the showers as far as cleanliness. I was unfortunately immediately told to leave on my last day by April and charged a 250 dollar fee as well as banned from the location due to smoking. When I advised I was not clear that there was a no smoking policy and apologized I was asked to leave immediately. I thought the punishment was a little harsh however, besides obviously being annoyed and refusing to answer a simple question about the policy on the home page April was a little passive aggressive but was otherwise calm and stern about the situation. I payed a lot of money and am a honorary member and I had no clue about the zero tolerance policy on no smoking. If this is a suitable punishment for smoking then I understand however, if not it was a little unfair in my opinion. Otherwise the other staff members were amazing and kind.

Hi Erick,It states very clearly we are a non smoking facility. That room is out of order now because we cannot get the marijuana smell out of it, you are lucky we just charged you 250. Since we are losing revenue due to the smell we should have charged you more. There was no blood on your bed, you are just mad because you got charged a smoking fee and Hilton was not falling for your game. Have a great weekend.

This property is in a slightly remote location off 28th street, which is great! However the cleaniness of this facility left something to be desired. The main lobby and hallways are very clean, however Upon arrival at our 3rd floor room we found our door was slightly ajar, not a major issue. No one was inside. We discovered that the frame of the door was slightly swollen not allowing the door to shut unless pulled shut completely. When we investigated the bathroom we did not have any large towels at all, it appeared that there was about 3 hand towels and 1 bath mat. I went fown to the hotel front desk and told the gentleman working. He stated "our normal towels are pretty small" and looked slightly suspicious but after assuring him there was none he provided 3 normal size bath towels. Upon using the shower we discovered that it would not drain. The shower has a large metal cover that I flipped up to reveal a drain clogged completely with hair and surrounded by pink mold. I cleared the drain out with my knife and flushed the chihuahua sized furball that I pulled out down the toilet. We did not have any other issues, but the housekeepers are obviously lacking in training for bathroom cleaning.
