Pros: location, bed
Cons: Bathrooms need upgrades. Very little counter space, awkward arrangement. Air conditioner is loud
Location: Mall is close, lots of restaurant options. Not too far from expressways.
Decent hotel for one night at the right price. The bathroom was my main gripe, it was awkwardly designed and not convenient if you have a lot of bathroom items. The room itself was fine, comfortable bed. This hotel is good enough for one night, but I wouldn't recommend for a multiple night stay.

Location great but not worth it.

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Location. People were nice but ineffectiv
Cons: Needs a total renovation. Needs management, including Ramada Corporate to care about it.
Location: Great location for food and shopping. Easy access to nice Southeast part of town.
This hotel is so out of date it's pathetic. Love the location and the rate but not worth it. Everything is shabby and falling apart. Service was weak. No maid service at all one day. Just a very weak experience overall.

Cons: Everything needs improvements.
Our room was very humid and the carpet was not vacuumed. I talked to the front desk about the broken air conditioner, but nobody showed up to address the issue.

Aging hotel that has seen better days.

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Updating and a facelift.
Location: Conveniently located near lots of shopping and restaurants.
We arrived at the hotel that we had booked for three people through Expedia to find only one bed. The desk staff were very helpful and arranged another room with two double beds which was fine. The wing of the hotel was adjacent to the pool area and both the hall and room had an overwhelming chlorine smell. When we went to store our valuables in the safe we found it non-functioning, we told the desk twice and were told it would be repaired, in five nights it was still not working. The hotel was safe and reasonably clean and is also conveniently located.

good location; family oriented

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: housekeeping; room was okay, trash was behind air conditioning unit...no coffee maker in room but coffee and condiments were stocked...
water slide and pool attracts families; therefore the surrounding rooms and hallways tend to be loud from kids running up and down hallways, doors repeatedly opening/closing, laughter and shrieking...the location is very good, near the local mall and popular restaurants. There is a connected restaurant-Old Chicago, the food and staff were very good. this is not the place if you want quiet after a long day of seminars and business meetings.

Great location, but the beds were terrible! I lost so much sleep due to the quality of the beds.

Overnight stop in Grand Rapids

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Price, proximity to freeway and restaurants.
Cons: See above...
Location: Semi-convenient drive to GR's many breweries and pubs.
If you don't mind being surrounded by raucous children, this is the place to stay. Room had no kleenex and the hallway was littered with popcorn for our entire stay there. Also, the portion of the hallway nearest the pool entrance stunk of chlorine. Even at our door, some 40 steps from the pool entrance, it still smelled of chlorine. Staff seemed to be doing their best and kept it friendly but they seem on the verge of overwhelmed. Couldn't find a king room on short notice for a better price, so I suppose the ol' you get what you pay for adage applies.

Security, cleanliness and internet access an issue

Posted Jul 6, 2014
1.We had a security concern, a couple came in our room while we are inside reported it to the staff at the reception desk claimed they didn't know what happened. 2.Horrible internet access, not responding most of the time. 3. Stayed 4 nights, we asked for our room to be cleaned, towels were not replaced and bed were not made.
