“We were very comfortable and if I ever went to Grand Rapids again I would stay there”
The room was quit, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. One plug soccet did not work but we were able to switch the fridge and microwave when needed.
“Convenient, cheap and friendly staff.”
Room was clean and adequately furnished. Hotel staff was pleasant and eager to please. Ironing board is not available, but otherwise fine for the leisure or business traveller on a budget. Denny's restaurant within walking distance.
“Perfect for a cheap quick stay”
We were getting to town late and leaving early in the morning so we wanted a quick and convinent hotel that didn't cost a ton. This was it. The bed wasn't very comfortable. But the room (a king room) was big, had a mini fridge and microwave and was quiet. If I needed to go to Grand Rapids again I would probably stay here. We loved breakfast at Denny's in the same parking lot in the morning.
“Much better than expected for the price”
We stayed at this hotel just one night after a concert in Grand Rapids, and I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't really need a pool or any other amenities, so the very small lobby and the lack of a pool was no big deal. The room was small but clean, beds were very comfortable with GREAT pillows. I always sleep with a memory foam pillow, but didn't miss it. The room had a safe, microwave, fridge, and a coffee pot. I have paid much more for rooms that didn't have all of those! The only thing missing was a TV remote, but hey, it wasn't a huge hassle actually getting UP to turn channels! I would recommend if you are just looking for a bed to sleep in.
“good enough”
The room of comfortable and clean with some amenities
“Ok for a night if you're not picky”
The hotel was very hard to find in the dark. When I called for directions, they did manage to realize that the lights weren't on. That would have saved my a half hour of driving. Inside, the hotel was very smokey and run down, My room was clean, not smokey and aside from a missing headboard, window that wouldn't lock, and no tv remote, ok. It was a last minute reservation so beggars can't be choosers. It was also the cheapest room in town. The staff was friendly.
“Good if you're not going to be in your room a whole lot.”
The heater/air conditioner was really old and right at bed level. You couldn't get a steady temp. It was either way to hot or way too cold. Other than that the room was alright.
“You get what you pay for”
If you're staying for a night, it's a good hotel. The price is right, and it's easy access from the highway. We ordered two non-smoking rooms and got smoking rooms instead. The hotel was dirty, and the continental breakfast was nothing to speak of. The coffee was lukewarm. But overall, we've stayed for a night before and we'll probably stay again. But if you're planning an extended vacation, you can certainly do better.
“Ok, for the price”
Overall, the hotel wasn't too bad. What do you expect when paying a low price? Only thing I did not like was the old a/c unit in room. It took forever to cool and knobs did not work properly.
“Expedia should not even have this motel in its listings!”
An old motel, with no maintenance being done. Holes in the bathroom door, small dirty microwave sits on top of a small dirty refrigerator. The newer carpet already has burn stains from an iron. The linoleum in the bathroom has cigarette burns. The bed cover has cigarette burns. The bed is lumpy. We could not sleep as you'd expect bugs to come crawling out of the cracks. What a dump! The smoke detector had been pulled out of the housing and was no longer there. And this is a room that the desk clerk let us see before checking in. Had we not already paid online, we would have walked out and cancelled the reservation.
