Location: Hershey park
Fridge was not working. Place was full due to cheer leading competition. Elevators were extreamly slow. No lifeguard on duty and there was a lot of horse play with little children in pool. The breakfast food was poor and most items were empty.

CHECKED INTO ROOM 103. WENT INTO ROOM CHANGED INTO SWIM SUIT AND HEADED FOR THE HOT TUB. NO HOT TUB!!! WENT SWIMMING WENT BACK TO MY ROOM TO SHOWER AND GET DRESS FOR A NIGHT AT THE CASINO (NO HOT WATER OR WATER PRESSURE). THE TOILET GOT CLOGGED UP. CONT'D GETTING DRESS. ON MY WAY OUT FOR THE NIGHT INFORMED THE MANAGER (BRIAN) OF THE PROBLEM. HE STATED HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. IT WAS ABOUT 7 OR 8 PM WHEN I LEFT THE HOTEL. GOT BACK TO THE HOTEL ABOUT 2 MAYBE 3 AM TO FIND THAT THE TOILET HAD BEEN FIXED ONLY TO GO US IT AGAIN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS. THIS TIME IT RAN ALL OVER THE BATHROOM FLOOR INTO THE FORTE JUST ABOUT TO THE HALLWAY. NEED LESS TO SAY WE HAD TO GET A DIFFERENT ROOM. WE HAD THE ROOM FOR THE WEEKEND OF MAY 1ST THRU MAY 3RD. I AM A WOMEN SO I PACKED LIKE A WOMEN ON A 7 DAY TRIP LOL. HOWEVER I DIDNT LIKE THE HOLE MOVING ROOM THING THAT TIME OF THE NIGHT. HOW EVER AT CHECK IN I ASKED FOR A LATE CHECK OUT AND WAS TOLD AND GUARANTEED A 2 PM CHECK OUT FROM THE FRONT DESK CLERK (LORRIN) WITHOUT A CHARGE. CHECKED OUT BY 1 ON SUNDAY MAY 3RD. WENT TO THE FRONT DESK TO CHECK OUT. NO ONE EVER SAID ANYTHING TO ME ABOUT A CHARGE BEING PLACED ON MY CREDIT CARD OF 150.00 FOR STAYING 1 HOUR OVER CHECKOUT TIME. WHEN I DID CALL TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER (BRIAN) I WAS TOLD HE WAS GONE FOR THE DAY. CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND WAS TOLD HE WOULD ARRIVE AT 2 PM. CALLED BACK ABOUT 2:30 THAT SAME DAY (MONDAY MAY 4TH) AND WAS TOLD TI LEAVE A MESSAGE A HE WOULD CALL ME BACK. HE NEVER DID.

Location: Close to Casino
Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice breakfast selections and a pleasant helpful staff member offering a cheerful "Good Morning". I would recommend a room on the opposite side of interstate traffic.

Pros: The staff was pleasant and made every effort to accommodate our needs. The Continental breakfast is good and the area was clean and spacious.
Cons: Renovation on the rooms, especially the restroom. Swimming pool area needs maintenance.
Location: The Hershey Park is about 15 to 20 minutes driving, and it's a pleasant drive. The hotel is conveniently located.
The hotel was fine, rooms are outdated and hotel needs a face lift. It looks like there is some construction going on, perhaps a renovation, as one wing of the hotel is closed. Little issues are commonly expected from a somewhat aged hotel, like bathtub drain not working, shower heads clogged, etc. The main disappointment was that the hot tub on the swimming pool are is not working and it's being renovated (?). They should announce that on their webpage or on the time of booking. Also, they put families with young kids somewhat on the same floor, so beware of noise and a tough long night with banging doors and alike. Overall, I would probably have looked into alternatives having read and learned about these issues. If you are heading to the park (Hershey) and expect to rest at night, this is hardly your choice.

Pros: Staff was courteous, if not always effective.
Cons: See above. Management should ensure that rooms are ready as advertised before guest check-in. Failing that, they should be more responsive.
Location: Main attraction are Penn National racetrack and Hollywood Casino.
After check-in (March 27, 2015), discovered no TV remote in room. I mentioned it to a housekeeper and she said she'd get me one but never came back. Later, I mentioned it at the desk and the desk guy was very helpful. There were no spares at hand and he went and found one in an unused room. However, I then found out that that the TV didn't work at all. I mentioned it to a manager the next day, and he said he'd check it. He never got back to me. On Saturday night I discovered that the clock radio wasn't working either, and that some of the lamps were not plugged in. The latter isn't a big deal (although I had to move furniture), but it's indicative of shoddy management. Not likely to use Comfort Inn again.

The night manager, Brian, was AWESOME. First, Brian called us to be sure we were safe on the road getting to the hotel, asked where we were and explained the current road conditions closer to the hotel due to the storm. The hotel was completely booked, yet he took the time to assist a very frazzled woman with locating another hotel as close as possible in the midst of a horrible snow storm. We were very impressed with his friendliness, courtesy and caring professionalism. We will definitely return to this hotel when in the area again. Congrats to Brian on taking a sincere interest in his customers!

Would not recommend to stay here, our heat did not work in suite I paid for so they moved us and then charged my cresit card for smoking in the room which we did not even stay in we left and went to another hotel nearby and was refundes from expedia, but now I have to cancel my card do to their mistake, rooms in very bad shape for what cost is.
