“Grass Valley”

My daughter and I traveled 450 miles in one long day. When we arrived at the Hotel, we experienced quick and friendly check-in, and the room was just what the doctor ordered. Breakfast the following day was great. I will definately stay at the Best Western Gold Country again.

Hotel staff are great, have an open bar from 6-8pm, with hot and hearty snacks and fresh baked cookies. Breakfast was great as well - freshly cooked, lots of coffee and all the normal items - good start to the day. Location is right by Safeways and Starbucks - perfect ! Across the road is a range of restaurants

“I was impressed,”

The hotel was very clean and the people were very friendly, they were willing to accommodate us even with a handicap person. The rooms were wide enough to fit a wheel chair and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast wasn't too bad either, just wished that you had biscuits and gravy, but it was still good.

“Eureka!”

I was surprised to find a hotel that had charm, with entrance to the room from the street. The room had a microwave, mini refrigerator and convenient wireless access, and the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping it neat and clean. The front desk staff was helpful and provided free muffins and delicious cookies each morning & evening. The continental breakfast foods were well stocked, and the fitness room, although small, had a nice collection of quality equipment. The hotel itself is in a very pretty location in Grass Valley. Parking was very easy. I would stay here again and, in fact, seek it out upon returning to Grass Valley, as it's also close to many conveniences, and Nevada City is only a quick & easy 4 miles away.

The standard 2 Queen room was larger than most, very clean, upgraded amenities, unexpected microwave and small refrigerator. Staff very friendly and efficient, full breakfast tastey. Now my #1 choice in the area !

“Good hotel in a good location”

Nice little Best Western operation in a good location around Grass Valley and Navada City. The staff was friendly and paid attention, the room was just right for the price, and the bed even had a pillow top, which we were used to from home. The TV was small for the space but overall we rate this hotel as good value for the money.

“Weekend getaway”

Friendly staff, very clean, comfortable room. The only negative was the air conditioner was a little loud.
