Good value for St Moritz

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, comfort, cleanliness, food, price and location
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Location: Very centrally located in St Moritz Dorf. Walking distance from station. .
The Hauser hotel is a comfortable, no frills hotel. The rooms are quite clinical in furnishings but very functional, clean and comfortable. Suitable for year round holidays. Ideally placed for Bernina and Glacier Express train journeys in the summer. The breakfast has good choices with lovely bread and some patisserie. The restaurant is excellent and not too expensive for St Moritz and Switzerland in general. The patisseries are a must to try and can be chosen for a dessert.

Located in the heart of St. Moritz !

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Clean and spacious room !
Cons: Wash cloths and shampoo should be provided !
Location: We were at the hotel for just one night - watched the final of the World Cup ! Middle of the summer. I am sure there is plenty to do in the winter !
This hotel, very centrally located, is clean and pleasant. Rooms are clean and we were given a room with a balcony ! Room was spacious, unlike many hotel rooms in European cities. Amenities provided in the bathroom are minimal ! Rooms are expensive but no more than many other hotels in St. Moritz. Continental breakfast was included in our room rate. One nice feature - hotel provides a van to meet you at the train station !

Close to lake, excellent front desk help

Posted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: Clean, efficient, location.
Cons: More fresh fruit at breakfast.
Location: Walk around the lake, jump on the free bus and see other towns nearby, definitely take the train/gondola up to Piz Nair.
Free shuttle from train station, extremely informative front desk, free passes for all public transportation and gondola. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but I'm never excited about cold cuts and rolls and cheese... Restaurant was very good. EVERYTHING in St. Moritz was overpriced.... you just have to forget about it.

In the middle of everything

Don't be fooled by the seventies concrete structure of the hotel. This is a great place to stay in St. Moritz. We spent 2 nights here during our 12-day Switzerland vacation. The hotel is centrally located adjacent to the pedestrian-only high-end shopping streets. The hotel is a very well maintained hotel from the 70s, with newly renovated bathrooms, and is extremely clean. Our Superior Room was huge and had views over the mountains. Close to all, but not walkable with luggage from the train station (almost no hotel is walkable with luggage from the train station). Hotel happily picks you up and drops you off at the train station; just call before you arrive and their hotel van will meet you. Best unexpected perk -- complimentary St. Moritz Cards from the hotel, that grant you use of all public transportation, funiculars and cable cars in St. Moritz, saving us a bundle of money (don't know, but perhaps this is only complimentary in Summer). Fun bar with outdoor sun terrace and two restaurants at the hotel. Very quiet rooms.

Hauser Swiss Q Hotel, St Moritz

Posted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: Picturesque location
Cons: Wifi Internet did not work in our room
Location: Walking distance to the lake, train station, funicular railway. Comfortable cafe downstairs.
Enjoyable stay in this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. A bonus ticket giving free travel on busses and chairlifts, gondolas etc made exploring the area very affordable. Picturesque location.

Nice location .. Some rooms dated

Posted May 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Got two rooms .. One was dated .. Hotel interiors are also dated .. The other room looked fine and seemed updated. Complimentary breakfast was good .. Next time would consider staying further away and paying less rather than paying more and still being disappointed. On top of it - it's almost June and it's still winter and snowing this year .. almost all the stores are still closed until mid-June.
