While it may be a temptation to limit yourself to just the local sights when vacationing in Gravdal, remember, the surrounding region's abundance of natural sights, cities and towns await. Pay a visit to the Lofotr Vikingmuseum and Stockfish Museum in Leknes, approximately 2 miles (3 kilometers) to the southwest of Gravdal.
Organize some transport and spend some time in Bodo, a regional center, 60 miles (97 kilometers) from Gravdal. The city has a number of tourist attractions, for example Saltstraumen, Norwegian Aviation Museum (Norsk Luftfartsmuseum) and Bodin Church. Kjerringoy Trading Post and Aspmyra Stadium are just a sample of the other interesting sights that should be high on every visitor's to-do list.
Go to Northern Norway's nature museums, art museums and history museums. These are excellent spots to hang out, particularly on overcast or inclement days.
