Excellent and spacious hotel.Posted Jul 6, 2014
We liked this hotel a lot. Very clean, spacious and quiet. Only thing that it lacks is a pool. And perhaps better choice of breakfast. Also one needs a car to get about. But we had a car and were able to visit many clise by attractions

Comfortable for a long stay, isolated locationPosted Apr 29, 2014
We were very comfortable in this hotel for our one night stay. The rooms with two full size beds have a separate room for one bed so our daughter was able to sleep early, which is usually a problem for us on vacation. Comfortable beds and bathrooms with soft towels. Dinner was good (not delicious, but satisfactory), although the hotel restaurant did not open for dinner until 8:30. Breakfast was minimal, meats and cheeses and pastries along with a hard boiled egg. You are far from anywhere else, and the town of Gravina is several miles away, so you definitely need a car.

“Quiet relaxation in a rural location”Posted Jun 18, 2013
Pros: comfort and good breakfast, with hardly anyone else staying there!
We stayed 3 nights at La Camera Ducale near Gravina as part of a touring holiday of Puglia/Basilicata in May 2013 . An informal and somewhat unusual location with high standards of comfort in arable farmland location. Apartments are on 2 floors in blocks with a small outside area. Not many guests at that time of year meant that we had a quiet time, though if the hotel was fully occupied that could be different. Good breakfast available inside or on terrace. NB there is no swimming pool. Convenient location for day trips to Matera, Alberobello and various beautiful scenery and unusual countryside. Room Tip: we booked through Expedia so we got a good price! .
