A pleasant surprisePosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Location and huge rooms. Especially liked the hardwood floors and beautiful old building. Excellent for an old hotel, good value
Cons: Ensure a kettle available in each room, update bike in gym, otherwise great job!
Location: Great location, couldn't be better. Parking is a little awkward unless you have a GPS but parking is in the mall attached to hotel ($15 for 24hrs)
Booked this hotel last minute on arrival in Graz, it is centrally located right in the middle of the town with views over the castle and main square (depending on your room). The rooms are huge for European standards with high ceilings, hardwood floors and plenty of room. The building itself is a classic 18-19 century refurbished beauty. The water in the bathroom tap is drinkable, there is a small fridge in each room. The gym is not really useful, it is very basic with minimal equipment, but there are plenty of good areas to run from hotel including a trail along the river. Great resteraunts close by, huge supermarket in mall attached to hotel. We were upgraded on our first night and room had nespresso coffee machine as well as a kettle. We stayed another night on return trip home and had a basic room facing inside courtyard but were still very happy.

Centrally locatedPosted Jun 12, 2014
My stay was excellent until the day before I left when the housekeeping lady left for the day without cleaning my room. That was unacceptable given the standard of the hotel. After I alerted the lady at the reception, she offered to change the linens even of that wasn't her responsibility. I hope this gets sorted out as what I expected was basic.

My first room is too warm, no air. But, they relocate me and it was very good.

Centrally located for easy sightseeing on footPosted Aug 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very enjoyable, friendly people, a hotel with character & style. Delicious European style breakfasts. The city was our favorite in Austria & the hotel's location made it possible to access everything easily by foot or bus.
