Lovely hotel, comfortable and clean room, friendly and helpful front desk staff. One point to take note of: the hotel is inside a larger complex, and the only exterior sign is situated on a column that points in one direction (South?). If you approach from the other direction, as we did, you are likely to walk right past the entrance unless you are alert to its position.

The photos on the website are better than the reality. Decor is old rather than 'boutique'. Decoration is sparse. Parking is far away. Overall, lovely city, disappointing hotel

A cozy hotel in Graz
They gave me a bigger and nicer room that oversaw an internal court and was very quite. The breakfast was excellent. Very close to the downtown, restaurants, and Jakominiplaz

Great location. Central air conditioning that is controlled inside the room and down to a very cool and comfortable level. Pet friendly. We opted for the room/rate which included parking. The garage was easily accessed. Our room had a nice large corner bathtub. Some may indicate that the place feels dated, but the level of the finishes and the function of the space more than makes up for that.

Convenient stay...
Great breakfast, comfortable rooms, convenient wifi... even there are some construction work was going on for renewation during my stay, they did not make noise at all. Although, stairs and corridors was a bit messy due to this work.

Great stay in the heart of Graz
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. Quiet, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. The only downside was the Internet which functioned poorly the entire time.

Lovely hotel - but please get new curtains!
My stay at the Hotel Zum Dom was really lovely - very friendly staff and very comfortable room with one of the most modern bathrooms I've ever seen in a hotel room! One thing that is worth noting is that the curtains in the room are only net curtains - so anyone passing by the room can look in! It meant that the room didn't feel very private, and it also makes sleeping at night a bit tricky as I am used to blackout curtains. That would be the only thing I would change though!

This is a two star hotel at the most
When i checked into the hotel i was told by the receptionist that my room had been upgraded to a double because of my Expedia status. I carried my luggage up to the room (there are no bellmen) which had double glass doors opening into the hallway. When i went inside the room was large but it had NO WINDOWS. It was large, dark and stuffy as you would expect a windowless room to be. This was unacceptable to me so i carried my luggage back downstairs to the receptionist and told her the room had no windows and i could not stay in it. She then said she would give me another room with a window. I took the key, carried my luggage back upstairs to the new room, and went in. It was a stark room which looked like a two star hotel room in a former Eastern Block country. I originally booked this hotel because it was listed as being four stars. I can tell you authoritatively there is nothing about this hotel that is four or even three stars. A Holiday Inn would run circles around it. This hotel is classic low budget, no frills, nothing nice, two star hotel. At that point i did not want anything to do with the hotel because i felt deceived so I carried my luggage back downstairs to the receptionist for the last time, gave her my key and told her i was leaving. She asked me if i wanted another room i declined snd just left. . If you are looking for a hotel with three or four star qUalities look elsewhere.

Near the university
Stayed here as it was close to the university. Very clean, nice bathroom. However it was warm and the area was a bit loud in the evenings and early mornings, which made leaving the window open a problem. However I was on the 1st floor, so as you go up it may be less of an issue. The staff didn't have any problems when I requested and additional pillow, which is sometimes a problem in Europe.

Weekend Break
Although only in Graz for only one full day, a number of the suggested sites can easily be reached just on foot, if you are going to do the 260+ step climb to the Clock Tower do this either earlier in the morning or later in the evening as it does get very hot in the summer months.

Zum Yeah
Hotel Zum Dom is in old palace with very high ceiling and modern furnishings. The hotel is close to the Graz Glockenspiel and the trendy Hauptplatz with upscale shopping, decent restaurants and tram links to all parts of the city. A European style breakfast is served for a fee and the Steak Boutique restaurant in the hotel serves a dynamite steak for a substantial price. A good value for a 4 Star hotel.

Fourth time staying at this Hotel. Reception staff always friendly and pleasant to deal with. Room was not ideal because only had a shower and no bathtub but otherwise clean and lots of room. Hotel is in an excellent location - slightly out of the way but close to everything.

Bugs everywhere.
We stayed here for three nights. The first night there were bugs all over the room including in the bed, so we told the receptionist who had a cleaning lady "clean" the room. The next night we woke up and there were literally hundreds of bugs in the bed with us, crawling on us etc. we immediately called the front desk. When we showed the manager he called it and "invasion" and gave us another room. It was disgusting and I never received my money back or any consolation for the nasty bug room.

Handy to Armoury Museum, Glockenspeil and other historic sites. Spiral staircase to bedroom was tricky, with the bathroom downstairs.

Small, quiet hotel
The hotel is located on a quiet street on the edge of the 'old town'. After reading reviews, I expected to be wowed by the hotel and its amenities. The room was a bit 'tired', but adequate. And the hotel is not as well located as I thought it would be. Graz is a charming city. Most of the activity; restaurants, shops, etc.; is close to the river. Reduced rate parking was offered at a parking garage about 500 meters from the hotel. The bathroom was clean, but tiny. The breakfast bar was fairly plentiful, and eggs and bacon made to order were offered on a sign. However, no one was around to ask. In conclusion, there were no outstanding negatives and no outstanding positives.

Austrian people in general were not very friendly except for one man who helped us get off of Main Street when we should not have been there while looking for the parking lot.

Wonderful location, very helpful staff. Colorful rooms with fun/playful color schemes. Not necessarily the place for those who want to be pampered in a hotel that could be anyplace else and is in the tourist "bubble," but great for a traveler who wants a fun, comfortable, safe spot to serve as home-base as you explore Graz.

Lovely room in a lovely location
I had a lovely little room with superb location and service. Everyone went out of their way to help - from the check-in clerk who found me an emergency dentist within half an hour of my checking into the hotel to Marilyn who takes personal responsibility that breakfast be perfect every morning. The location cannot be beat - a block to the bell tower and minutes on foot along cobblestone streets along superb restaurants and attractions. European rooms tend to be small and this was no exception, but the location, service, and attention were huge!
