Friendly, accommodating service. Provided area map. Dinner recommendations = terrific food in a very charming local restaurant. Basic amenities: very clean room with two comfortable double beds. Sitting area. Clean bathroom, adequate towels. Heat in room = warm and cozy. Price was right. Set back from road = not aware of traffic! Easy to find. Great Experience. Would book again and will recommend!

“Basically Top Notch”

I'm on the go early morning to late evening. All I want is a clean comfortable room to sleep and shower in. Monument Mountain Motel was the best lower-priced place I have stayed. The bathroom was very clean, updated with new white tile everywhere, granite vanity top, curved out shower curtain rod, nice shower head and lots of hot water quickly. There was not a hint of mildew anywhere. The bed was comfortable and A/C worked well. The room was small as expected, but perfect for the way I use the room. There are a lot of both fast-food and high-end restaurants near by. This is an exclusive area to vacation in during July and August. Some hotels are triple the price.

“Very satisfied”

This is a family-run hotel, and the owner staffs the front desk. He went out of his way to accommodate us. My husband and I stayed there on a Friday, and my daughter used the same room on a Saturday night. She arrived in the evening at the bus station, and discovered there were no cabs available. She called the hotel and they came and picked her up for $5. The room was simple and not large, but the bathroom was sparkling clean and we had a refrigerator and microwave and free wireless Internet. We did have a closet and nice chest of drawers and the one queen-sized bed was fine.

Extremely helpful owner who wanted to do everything to make our stay overnight successful.Bathroom accomodation brand new and very good specification.Room very adequate and good attempt to update it had been made.Very clean and comfortable accomodation which provided very good value for the price paid.

“Excellent value”

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend wedding with our two small dogs, which was originally a big reason we booked this hotel rather than something a little more upscale.The outside isn't very impressive, but our room was very satisfactory, and had enough amenities to make the price we paid (compared to most of the surronding hotels & B&B's) a reasonable bargain. Nothing fancy about the place, very basic, but if you just need a place to sleep ( and they do have a small but nicely kept pool out back) then this should do the job.

“Great choice for travelers with pets”

This motel is an excellent choice for the budget-conscious who still expect a comfortable, clean place to spend a few days. We are a family of 4 who usually travels with pets, so our options are often extremely limited. Located in a convenient (although busy) location, it's only a couple of miles from Butternut mountain and less from the center of Great Barrington. The owner was very friendly and clearly cares about his property. We stayed in the end unit with two queen beds. The room was a decent size and clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom completely renovated. Our room also had a refrigerator and microwave in addition to a TV. Note for travelers with pets: the motel charges an additional $20 fee per day, which is not included in the price.

“Great condition!”

Condition of the motel was much better than expected--looks like it was renovated recently. The only thing that wasn't great was the heater/AC, which was very loud and shut off and on irregularly (it was a cold night,) keeping some of us awake all night. Just as an FYI, this motel does not offer continental breakfast.
