Needed a dog friendly hotel near Bayside

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Andrew was in my experience pretty good place. Bed was very comfortable king size, room was nice n cozy, location to LIRR n village shops is great. Improvements: the bathroom was needing much TLC, paint was very chipped, cracked sink drain, hair on floor under bath mat, shower only functioned extremely hota water couldn't cool it down. Also, quite a bit of street noise on early Sunday morning.

Cons: see above
room extremely small bathroom dated it was a cold day but the room was like a sauna . it was so hot i had to turn on the AC. the thermostat was non functioning. the complimentary jar of body lotion was 1/2 empty did someone use it before ? it was convenient to where we need to be that evening but really like a "days INN" . i would NOT book there again.

The Andrew Hotel

Posted Mar 5, 2014
The hotel requires valet service to park and retrieve your car. Your bags will be carried to the room and tipping will follow. My room - two double beds - was small and the bathroom quite small. However the beds were very comfortable and the TV was a flat screen HD with free HBO. I prefer a hotel that you drive to, park and enter from the outside. Frequent tipping and interaction with the staff are not my cup of tea. Rates are on the high side and the valet service is another $13/day plus tip.

Dirty hotel, not enjoyable at all

Posted Feb 18, 2014
It's mid winter in NYC; freezing. The room was terribly cold. And dirty. Floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed since 1970. For $200.00 I was expecting a little more.

Please accept my sincere apologies. I am terribly sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. Your comments are extremely important to us and I ensure there will be follow up from my end. We are currently in the process of replacing carpeting in the guest rooms as well as other room enhancements. I am sorry the room was cold and will investigate further with our Engineering Department. Once again, my apologies. Sincerely, Cathy De Lucia General Manager

When you're in Great Neck

Posted Jan 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Convenient and comfortable hotel for one night stay in "downtown" Great Neck. Very close to train station if you wish to go into NYC. Downsides are valet parking only and no exercise facility. Competent staff.

Thank you so much for the excellent review. We do have a full service gym right across the street, and they do offer special rates, and at times we do have free passes. I hope we see you again in the future. Sincerely, Cathy De Lucia General Manager

Great location....

Overall this is a nice hotel. The front desk went out of there way to make sure we had a good stay. In fact we got to the hotel at 9am and they had no problem checking us in very early. This was great since we had traveled really early and needed to get some rest. It is conveniently located right across the street from the train station. Only complaint that we had was the heat in the rooms. We had to be moved from our original room because the heat would not shut off or adjust lower.

Cute and Cozy

Posted Jan 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
I can honestly say this hotel was one of the very best hotels I have ever stayed at while I visited my family in New York. It’s a small hotel with only 4 floors, but don’t let that fool you. The rooms are spacious and roomie, with a decent size bathroom with your typical clean all white fixtures. Plus they have such a wonderful stuff! Our first night there we met Frank who was just a delight and quite a character. The next was Patti who was very sweet and extremely helpful! Breakfast is included in your hotel stay. Don't expect an 5 star all your can eat buffet, its just a little something to tie you over until lunch time, which was wonderful for me, and my mother . I would return again in a heartbeat.
